Aries woman and Gemini man

I've had a Gemini male friend for a few years, and we have an awesome friendship he really gets me.It's a mental connection like I've never had before. This might be due to the fact that I am a Gem rising and he is an Aries rising. I know he's always been attracted to me, but he grew on me in the looks department over the last year. We have never pursued anything with each other because we both had relationships. Well we are both single now and going on a date Saturday. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't scared. I am scared to catch deeper feelings for him because I know he is the player type even though he swears he isn't. He says the most beautiful things to me, but that is what Gemini's are great at right..beautiful words?? Are relationships between Gemini's and Aries really great? I feel like this is taking me over..very powerful. I did our snyastry charts and it's the best I've ever seen me have with somebody. I just need some advice! lol
