Does Gemini like to keep in touch with exs and why?

Ok, so I'll make this story short and to the point..

- Was in a Long distance relationship with a Gemini (18yrs female) for about 6 months, started off really fun, flirty, got serious sexually fast; was good for the first 2 months; then went toxic, lots of arguing/disagreements/insulting (we have very different viewpoints). Probably I'm more to blame as I lost my temper quite a few times.

- So she broke up with me, and immediately got into a relationship with someone else. We had a strange relationship, like she would tell me she really liked this new guy but still had feelings for me and would call me up every day. Even suggesting that I come to meet her behind her bf's back. At that point I was very confused, but at same time let it play out.

- Maybe 6 weeks or so after that they broke up I tried in a subtle way to fix things she wanted us to meet up, and I would have unfortunately I'm at college right now and very far (I'm in New York, she's in Tennessee) and it was just very bad timing.

- That was a few months ago, though I am at the point where I no longer wish to get back together because of the amount of stress and sleepless nights it has caused me. What I really want now is closure and forgiveness because I still feel guilt with what happened with us.

Her behaviour has really changed, she pretty much either ignores my messages or just seems busy/uninterested. But when I got through I was just like maybe we should just go our separate ways. And she was like, no! I really want to stay in contact with you.

So the question I pretty much have is, do Gemini's like to keep in contact with their exs and for what reason? (existing feelings, fwb etc).

I am a Gemini and i can tell that if she had strong feelings for you, that's why she would like to keep in touch, not always for present-tense existing feelings, but... because you are a part of her life, no matter if you belong to the past or not. Geminis have this thing of remembering things quite often, even when they don't want to and that's what pushes them to talk to that person again... if she doesn't want to keep in contact with you, she will make you get the message in no time. and if you want to make things right, to apologize...just tell her. tell her what you feel and she'll understand you

I met a Gemini man about a month ago and things have been going Really nice except for two things,

1. He keeps flirting even after I asked him to tell me clearly what's this between us and he said that we're just friends, and

2. He is just not able to forget his ex who left him about over one year ago!
