Too much drinking?

How much is too much? I prefer a glass or 2 of wine with dinner each day and a rowdy night on the weekend. That's me settled down as I used to be a rowdy.

Now, my gem doesn't really drink, and brought to my attention how much I do. I've thought nothing of it and do NOT want that to be an issue, but I'm totally happy with my intake.

I like to at least have a beer or two a day. and same as your Gem with the dude I'm dating... he doesn't really drink and makes a comment every time I order a beer with food or whatever

any time I've ever seen him drunk or buzzed though (which is only a handful in 3 years), he doesn't seem to be able to handle himself so I think he's just projecting his inability to hang on me

he smokes pot every day though and I don't at all so we all have our thing I guess

Oh man, totally same scenario!! lol He likes his pot too, and I don't smoke it but don't care at all! I guess I'll just point that out and carry on. Like, it's not fair otherwise!

Earth and water signs like their cocktails I think. My ex pisces was a lush, so we were unhealthy combo. I don't need that, but I also don't need to be judged. BULL horns coming out!!!! lol

I like to have a glass of rum almost every night. Around The time I go to bed. I'll admit sometimes it grabs a hold of me and I end up driking till I'm drunk. But on the bright side I'm already in my bed!

I should really quit though. Liquor addictions are the worst.

When your midwife asks you how many units a week you drink and you look back confused and she translates units into bottles of wine - that's when you know you have a problem.

True story.

It's a subjective topic (unless you're on your way to the rehab). How much do you think is too much?

Taking a break is good ... When you start needing it daily is when it can become a worry. I got like that with one cup of coffee a day.....did a detox and now didn't touch it for 2 weeks

Definitely. Breaks are always good, especially with alcohol. Everything in moderation is key.

And woah, coffee, that is super tough.

Yes it was for a few days....I swear the detox is the key and then finding healthy alternatives so you don't feel deprived. 🙂

I have no shame, so when I had a very stressful due to clients pissing me off, A glass of white wine is very much needed along with a nice bubble bath and scented candle.

If it's to celebrate my birthday or any special occasion, I will drink to my hearts content. Am I an alcoholic? absolutely not. I just want to have fun with my friends and pop bottles at a lounge and have a great time.

I would say "too much" is to the point where you have no control over what drinking is doing to you on a daily.

When you get to the point you are ... that's when it's too much.

When someone who is important to you is concerned, but, you don't give a fuck and make excuses for yourself.

Yeah, I guess culture plays a huge role too. He's Greek and I'm German. hmmmmmmmmm

I don't even drink...If i do with my girl then i hide and throw some away...I sip lean tho

Smoking pot and any form of drug taking is bad too.. I could never date or hang with a person who smokes pot or takes drugs or drinks excessively..

I drink wine by the bottle. It's really hard to stop at one glass and even one glass is a giant glass. It comes in waves. Mostly when there's been high trauma at work or special occasion.

My dude hadn't drank in 2.5 years but wanted to drink a few days for practice for our wedding night since we had fancy champagne toast, wine and beer.

I don't know if it's really that he's full blown Irish or what but even after 2.5 years, he's outdrank everyone in sight still standing and kickin it strong. Wtf. Then he tried talking me into clubbing on a Wednesday after it all lmao. Wise up, Mr. Telford. He warned me not to get him to drink and now I understand why. There's no stopping the chugging. Control your damn self lol
