so, my on again off again Sag updated his fbook "about me" info and writes exactly this "Currently at Ft.... in ..... I am divorced after almost 16 years of marriage. Sometimes life throws you a curve. "Mary" and I remain friends and we have 2 great daughters that I love very much. In my spare time I am usually at the golf course."

but his status is "in relationship" with me


"Mary" is obviously not her realy name.

he's stuck in his past marriage that ended when she cheated on him and they divorced, even though he still wanted to work it out till the end.

someone give me some real pep talk because this is too much for me...

meh, I have a lot going already anyways, but this is weird and out of the normal. when a dude is done with a relationship than normally it's done and no mention ever needed.
It's not about his kids - we both have kids, I was married to someone with kids from another marriage - my ex's ex and I are actually really good friends.

I think it's off and it should not be.

Facebook is about reconnecting with people from school, so maybe he listed that info because a lot of his friends know "Mary" and instead of having to answer questions and wall posts about his divorce, he just put that info out there to smash the questions in advance. Plus, he's in a relationship with you and he's publicizing that....why isn't that enough?

He does have 2 kids with "Mary", you can't escape that fact.

I know. Nevertheless, it feels off... and I don't like it. W3e talked about it last night and had a long heart to heart about things. Today he calls me that he just went to his JAG and asked about all info we need to have to get married. He's making amends

Doesn't matter who you are or when you are..... if you are after, you'll always have to respect prior.
