Gem talking marriage...already

Hi everyone

This gem guy and i really like each other maybe even love who knows. i've known him since i was a kid. we have such a great connection and its so comfortable talking to him. but we only text because we live in different countries at the minute. im planning on moving back to our home town where he is in the summer. i think he pretty excited about that since we haven't seen each other for 4 years, just talking on and off. anyway the other day he wanted a facebook wifey so i asked him am i allowed to be his wife lol he said hmmm if you want to be in the near future nah because it jinxs us.

Do you think hes serious about what he said or is this one his little flirting tactics?
am i being naive in thinking hes serious? we're only 18 lol

i have no intention to breaking his heart. i care about him too much for that. besides i've always wanted a chance to be with him now that i've got it i wont blow it. i'm more worried about him breaking my heart.

then i must say, i honestly do believe he meant it. the fact that he didnt want to jinx it makes me think this.

now personally, i dont understand why you would need marriage to concrete anything, especially at the age of 18

honestly i have no clue. marriage is not on my mind right now, after 25 i'll think about it.

He's basically flirting with the truth of what he wants as a undertone..

Marriage is possible with ANYONE...because EVERYTHING is possible. He doesn't want marriage now but in the future who knows how he'll turn out. He also believes seeking and implanting the desire for marriage ruins relationships. If it works that way it will eventually get there. His statement balances lightheartiness with truth..only to the few that reads between the lines if the lines. Just respond.."havent you ever played make-believe..as a kid? We all know those activities don't last"

It also may* imply how fond he is with you..but rather focus on the right things. Like building/ maintaining trust...faith...loyalty etc etc. But he also can't completely rule you out. As you can see its all possible...

He just questions does he or anyone for that matter truly have the CAPACITY to live and care the other person needs when one is still searching for themselves and adventure and questions to a billion things. Your gem will only marry when he has explored all possibilities if career...love...friendships...themes of relationships: sex..cheating...balance...finances etc
