please help me im so in love with a gemini man!

hi all im not really new but i don't post much anyway I need to pick the brains of all you smart gems....I have been off and on with my gem male for almost 4 years now not really an item though he chases me and I run sort of thing but we get along well and have great sex! in the past I have moved and he has found me then ill run again...to make a long story short he has in the past ofr yeasr gotten a baby by some girl and she lied and had him put in jail recently during this time while he was with her sill seeked me out to talk and other things i din't know he was in jail until about 2 months ago so how he found me again and so were comunicating back and fourth and he tells me how he cares about me and wants to be with me and how he things aboutn me all the time....so finally I give in and open up about my feelings for him and how I love him but was afraid to get hurt. anyway I know from the past that he likes have some space for thinking hes a deep person he goes away for awhile no contact with me then out of the blue he comes back more loving! my question is do you think that I did the right thing by telling him how I feel he did open up to me first and do you think he will return communication back soon I want to go visit him so bad but if he needs space i don't want to get in the way because he is going through alot being in jail and all should I write him or let him contact me? please gems help I going nuts with worry im a scorpio so the whole pulling away makes me panic also he told me how much it means to him that I am standing by him and he wants to settle down with me this is the last i heard from him im so confused any advice will do thanks

Look the man's been in jail, has knocked up another woman, has been playing Fickle Fuck Head with you, and you're actually considering even speaking to him— Forget him, avoid him, let him sort out his own problems! You're not going to win any points by being his savior. He'll just use you for emotional support, then he'll dump you. Watch and see.
I would NEVER consider someone with this type of behavior as boyfriend material and NEITHER should you. Please have higher expectations for yourself than that.
