Where can I REALLY go for Astrological insght?

I came to these forums because of so many posts on Astrology. But whenever I bring up my particular areas of analysis, I get no useful astrological insight. I get a lot of bashing because my interests are judged as unfavorable. I posted on the Virgo board because one of my (dozens of) areas of interest are a Virgo guy (my daughters father). All I got was a whole bunch of therapeutic answers - which I'm not dismissing (Gemini, of course) but, my actual informational needs are not met. I'm looking specifically for an astrological angle on interpreting a few charts and a variety of behavior patterns. Where can I go for some professional and objective feedback?

there are very few here (that i've seen) with great knowledge in astrology. most are just here cuz it's fun and addictive. your best bet is to find and astrologer if you're wanting the serious help that you portray you need. problem is... an astrologer can be quite pricey. i have found that you have to have A LOT of patience when trying to get info on DXP 🙂 eventually, someone will come throu. 🙂

^^ see, Melinda, just have to have patience. 🙂 i read some of the threads, and i hate to admit it, but i think Dazed and Elle are right about this one.... and astrology is not going to change the fact that he's cheated... repeatedly! it also won't "fix" him either. that's a choice for him to make.... and, besides, why would you want to be with someone who would do that to you....? don't make excuses for his actions, see they as they are... if that's what you want, by all means, stay with him... but in the end.... it is what it is.

Oh and Elle, she may have been right about some of her insight, such as there being things in my chart that leave me open to certain issues. However, I still stand by that some of her remarks were unjustified and illogical. I don't do "crash dummy" well.

My first day in highschool, I was hazed for being a freshmen. Let's just say, I never was hazed again. (@.@)

MissLissa, I'm not looking to fix him- ultimately. I just want to understand all the angles of various disciplines. It can genuinely be no more than that too. I really DO wish people could BELIEVE me when I flat out say what I say what I say. 😢 If I don't know something, I ask questions. I don't make assumptions much. And it annoys me to be judged prematurely. (I'm of mixed heritage and female minority: so perhaps I have a fundamental sensitivity to prejudice in all forms.)

Also- Together or not, I have 18 years co-parenting with this person. This person will (if by court order) be in my life for 18 years to some degree. I know I won't hold an emotional grudge forever. And even if I find a new relationship, he will be my daughters father and daddy. [And it's no lie when I say when we are/were "just friends" (no benefits) he is/was a great friend.]

My oldest son's father and I had a rocky 10+ year relationship. He's married to his new flame and we're 10+ years apart, I've moved on. I have NO romantic feelings for him whatsoever. Not even the slightest attraction. In fact, he's grossly like a brother to me (SAG) to inappropriate levels. I've had to check him on his brotherly-ness at times (like, I don't care to advise you on your new relationship or come to your cookout.) But okay, my eldest is 18 years. Once the crap blew over, him and I co-parented GREAT. And I was ALL UP IN HIS CHART. And it took me a year to analyze what the issues were, and how we can 'manage'... it we managed. So there is a method to the madness.

I studied this starting last year or so in regards with a gemini interest. From there i went on multiple sites reading on the fundamentals, comparing and finding similarities, differentiating with false information to actual ones. Relating that to observations of people. The best is to study yourself.

basics:

understand that our suns are generally not all there is to ones personality. I found that a person's moon to reflect more true and accurate.

Understand the houses and planet meanings.

Understand that one needs one's birthplace and location to get a full natal chart.
i enjoy using astro chart (google) or e-tarrochi (but it doesn't give the rising)

Knowing all this,

IF you have a love interest and want to know compatibility its really easy to do so.

compare the sun with your sun, moon with your moon, ascendent with yous.
i usually only consider the other parties moon, rising (ascendent), venus, mars, and mercury
then i look at n.node of the other parties chart.

lol! that's awesome!! i had a great holiday, too! well, my aries sis tried to start a fight, but no one was falling for it this year, which made it incredibly funny! my leo mom and i had a great time together, tho! which is a first! lol!

Melinda- I used to hang out a lot on Tribe.net. There were several astrology boards, and a couple of them were frequented by some serious astrologers. I haven't been there in so long that I don't remember exactly what boards those were, but you might be interested in checking it out.

Check your birth chart or/and his on here too.. will give you an insight into different areas and your houses i found it quite thorough, theres loads more to it though which Im only just recently learning.
