Why you like being a Gemini.

The title of this is pretty simple, but I've passed through a lot of the boards here & the Gemini hatred is immense. Thus I think there should be a topic on the merits of being a Gemini.
One thing I like is the easy detachment from situations. I never get caught up emotionally in things, while my flatmates -(mainly Scorpios) express such intense displays of love & hate over every slight thing, people, no milk in fridge, trivialities. While I sometimes get annoyed easily I feel I can rise above it. Above everything.

I think we have excellent qualities but they often go amiss. I think as a Gemini it is easy to get caught up in nothing, to drift.. and get frustrated. True that can be said of all signs but I have come across so many Gemini's experiencing 'existential' crisises (crisisii?) recently.. it's amusing and tragic. I think that we are often genuine in our intentions, but such intentions always change. And as ever, this attempt at being positive has descended into negativity..

i like the way that i am adaptable in any given situation. no matter whether it's good or bad, i will adapt. i learn a lot through adapting.

also, i love that i am always learning something new. i love to learn, just for the sake of being able to pass it on to someone in need, to help others. i don't want to know more than others, which i think is the misconception. i learn many new things from my friends who are more intelligent than i am.

Because everyone else wants to be a Gemini. So, we must be doing something right! 😉

I love being a gemini...most people have a built in fear of a gemini(really it's a respect that we are mentally equipped to fight anyone, And have the mental one up on someone) And I embrace the two sides of our personalities. Cause it makes me see things clearly and make rational decisions. And they fact that geminis are usually more intelligent and socially adept than others. Make others fear and sometimes loathe the twins.

I love it that I don't let things get to me &
I see the beauty in all areas of life & what
really matters to make a happy life!
I just love the fact that I don't let my
emotions rule over my logic & I can detach
from certain situations & things.
It's cool to be able to understand things
& accept that some things can't be understood
so easily,but Life is still good!

I also love the fact that I love learning,so
if I can't understand something,I try to learn
about it,lol... I love understanding complex
things,but I don't let anything get too heavy
or hold me down.

I like being a gemini cause i always get attention from people...
except a few individuals who will purposely ignore me... mostly the two scorpios i know, one guy and one girl
however, for some strange reason i get along extremely well with these two scorpios... despite the fact that they'll ignore me when they cant take it anymore... lol
and yet we continue to talk and keep in touch.
which brings me to another thing i like about myself, and that is not holding grudges against others... there are few people that really make me mad for the things they do... and yet when it comes down to giving them a cold shoulder or something i end up feeling bad and i dont want to be an ass about it, so i forgive them and forget about what they did...
i guess thats a two way street, cause i kinda dislike how i forgive most people all the time...
sometimes i wish i had no sense of compassion for others and just let them deal with it but i can't
so i try to please them and be nice to them when they need help even if its their own fault.
i know this girl i work with, she's a saggitarius.
we got along really well at first, but then her true colors began to show, and she's just not fit to do her job and slacks off most of the time... but i feel bad for her when she gets into trouble and many times i choose not to report things that she does or doesn't do... because im too nice.
anyway, im mostly nice to people and i like that about myself...
lol

If someone asked me I would be along the lines of "its a'ight" or "its pretty cool" or "not bad" but if I got a question such as "are you proud??" "you must be proud to be a Gem??" its this neutralistic swagger.

I never make a decision based on emotional content. It's gotta be logical. Not many people can say that. Quick, Clever, and brutally honest. With no apologies. Yeah, that's a big part. I have practiced and developed the art of shapeshifting and using my quick, yet charming wit. 😉 In my business you kinda have to. And yes, most people who lose the most money in my biz are...........WATER SIGNS. It's true. But, at least they'll justify it in their heads. Which doesn't work. Cuz everyone knows (including them) that the decision didn't make sense in the first place. But, they still make it and then blame you for it. Amazing! Water (with the exception of my Pisces girl) Ugh!!

^^^i don't think that read like an insult at all. i thought it was kinda silly and funny. im an aries sun/gemini rising and i have the attention span of a kitten. my gemini boyfriend totally has the attention span of a mosquito lol. gemini's are very young at heart because they come at the beginning of the zodiac and shaks didn't say being blunt was a bad thing either. besides, shaks would never date a gem...he prefers slow, methodical love 😛

That's because they obviously intimidate you. Being a Virgo, you THINK you're smart. But, you KNOW that you aren't as smart as you THINK you are. Gemini's have this way of making those who THINK they're smart KNOW how much they LACK in the conciousness. At least you're smart enough to know your limitations. 😉

When we get going on something (which might take a massive kick up the arse, maybe just for young gems?) we are very very good at it. I'm doing my college work again after a brief period of 'laziness', and now realise how easy it is 😛

I do believe in that very much. Also the fact we need a kick up da arse for da young gems at times.. But one thing people like & don't like about us
is the fact how we use our Intellect 2 motivate us & those round us kinda some what complexed how our attention span is as short as joe pesci but our Intellegince is As Long as the universe.. lol 🙂

I love being a Gemini and love this thread!!

I like being a "jill of all trades". It's like anything we set our mind to, we can do. Yeah, it causes a lot to envy us -- "isn't there anything you're not good at?" plus the fact that we make it look all so easy. I also like being unemotional and not holding grudges and I think these two aspects contribute a lot to our successes. We know how to make the best of what we have, to move on when it's time to move on, and to start fresh with a new mindset and unbridled passion for whatever we set out to do. Again, that's cause for envy or consternation from others. Then again, what can we do? That's just how we were built.

Another thing I like about being Gemini is our flexibility. We're very versatile so we can relate to different kinds of people and get this broad, awesome perspective about life. We're naturally charming and can get other people to do things for us and since we're not arrogant either, this makes more people get to do things for us, LOL.

And for those who hate us immensely, umm... I really don't know what to say.
