I love Birkram Yoga........the heat is intense ....but man ....very challenging.

Indeed it is....the heat will definitely kick your arse. Have that towel ready and plenty of water baby...only the strong can survive those classes, but when you are finished with the class you come out as a new person.......and still sweaty!!

ive done it about a dozen times. one of my besties (a leo) is a bikram yoga instructor so anytime we spend a weekend together we go. at first i freaked out due to the lack of clothing, i.e. "shorts" (i use the term "shorts" loosely because they are actually just spandex ass cheek peeping undies) and a sports bra. once the heat goes on you quickly realize that any clothing is too much! im in good shape too and this still kicks my butt. no matter how much i hydrate i always feel sluggish the rest of the day. i feel so clean though πŸ˜„

how's the bikram going PD? i have been going 5 to 6 days a week for the past 2 years. great way to detoxify!

don't forget to add a dash of salt to your water.

Tamara - I have not been in a while. 😒 I have been running and swimming. I need to get back into the studio. You go girl ...5-6 days a week. I agree it is a way to detoxify. I like it because the heat is great for loosening up muscles to gain more agility and flexibility.

i slowed down on the yoga because my Mom has been in hospital for the last 3 and a half months. started back to the heavy yoga schedule a couple of weeks ago though because it's my "happy place" and keeps me strong and grounded

running and swimming are awesome PD! really it's just keeping active that's important.
