I have a rash (or poison ivy oak??) that is just behaving strangely... I want to know what the hell it is..
I went for a run, a wide paved road nothing too rustic.. leaves on the ground of course. I wore a shirt that I had taken camping w me.. it had been washed. I long suspected it was the shirt with some leftover plant oils in it but I am not so sure..
As I think of it, earlier in the day I was itchy..like I allowed myself to scratch, but I just chalked it up to, sometimes you gotta itch. Like your back for instance, sometimes it just feels nice
About 2 or so hours after my run, I am eating dinner, and I'm itching my arms.. asked my room mate were there windows open? Mosiquitos have been BAD this year. I even saw "bug bites" on two or three places on my arms and I'm like sheeesh... can't get any relief. About 10 minutes later the "bug bites" were no more and instead was a large-ish red blob on my skin which was also mildly itchy. We speculated it could be oak mites. But no one knows wtf oak mites are they're not heard of in this area except this year (conveniently..)
I went to go change my shirt and when I looked in the mirror I had red blotches all over my nose and mouth. When I lifted my shirt I had red blotches all over my stomach and all around my waistline-- there was actually a line, which again suggest it was my shirt. Nothin on my legs.
Then 10 minutes later its all over my ass, like I sat on something that's what it looked like. Down my thighs too like I was wearing something, again clothes, something with oil on it???
Called a friend sent pics.. she said, looks like poison oak. Said you can get it from the air. I've researched that, it's a myth..but I didn't tell her that. Took an oatmeal bath. My face cleared up, everything else spread out but didn't itch so much, didn't look so bad.
Later I'm in shorts just reading, laying in bed on top of all covers and the inside of both of my knees start to have little red blobs and itching.. and I'm like.. ???? whati s this butter? I try to go to sleep.
I leave and go buy calomine lotion, I took two benadryl, I bought aloe too. Calomine lotion is helping a little, waiting for benadryl to kick in. It too me 30 mins to run to store + return.
I looked at myself in the mirror this butter is all over my back, my stomach, my shoulders, my ass and now also starting to cover the upper part of my legs. It gives off heat like sunburn, but itches like poison ivy. But not as badly. And my face has almost completely cleared up, and it was under my armpits and now it isnt
