Benefits of Stopping Red Meat and Sugar

Reducing red meat and sugar can improve energy levels, support weight management, and enhance overall health. You may notice better digestion, clearer skin, and increased mental clarity. These changes often occur gradually as your body adjusts to healthier eating habits.

When I cut back on it a lot I notice I feel better but only after several days of my body getting used to it. I dont do it religiously, just consciously choose chicken and cut out all sweets.

do you eat mainly chicken?

Nah I eat everything, lol. But if I do eat red meat, I make it count, only a gourmet burger or good cut of steak. But sometimes I'll get junk food in which case I'll eat anything but I try to keep that in small amounts.

For a period of time there I was EXTREMELY healthy, like for a year, only chicken or vegetables. No red meat at all, that was when I was at my healthiest.

I haven't consumed sugar for years. My teeth and my weight thank me everyday. No more sugar rushes either. I feel more stable.

Ditto read meat. Red meat and pork and anything from a pig creates an environment within the body that is receptive to cancer cell reproduction. So that's why I stopped. I'm happy with poultry, fowl and fish and shellfish, and beans. I do feel better psychologically because I'm taking preventative steps to promote wellness in my body.

I have to cut out the red meat out of my diet, a month in -- I don't miss it

I stayed off sugar for awhile but I tend to slip back to it, it's everywhere and in everything...

how do you do it—

I stopped eating bottom feeders a few years ago, the thought of those types of fish gross me out 🙂

so alcohol is still on...

there's sugar in that though, I guess we can't cut everything out can we?

i dont eat much of either anyway. Red meat makes me feel kind of heavy i dont know how to explain it. I only eat it when my body tells me I need it really.

I know what you mean, I thought I imagining it, but I do feel lighter since I stopped, I am sure it has something to do with digestion, much better without.

I cut out grease, excess fat, acidic foods. Which means my favorite. Spaghetti. I never cut down completely of red meat but I develop a better way to cook it and how much I eat of it. Such as baking bacon instead of frying it.

Yea there is no escape... And its crazy too in my opinion, because the ingredients on the side are all named differently but in the end there mostly the same. Sugar and salt

it really does come down to sugar and salt... I was doing some research on that and there has to be the same amount of salt and sugar most often times, it's an actual science getting the right amounts perfect, for example there's just as much salt in a coke as there is sugar -- fascinating

Since I was kid I refuse to eat red meat, like never . I just hate it.

But I cut out suger about 4 month ago, and yes I feel good.

I drink my tea without it...and my coffee.

that's great but you are aware of all the hidden sugars EVERYWHERE?

A friend the other was drinking a "healthy drink" with a "healthy bar", when we looked at the amount of sugar in both, it was incredible.

Lol it's not hard for me to cut out sugar (doing that made me develop low tolerance towards sweets, I always prefer dark chocolate 80% or above, etc) and I rarely eat red meat but when someone brings home donuts my knees just get weak u kno

You mean how do I stay off sugar? I eat tons of fruit and sweet veggies which contain natural sugars. Strawberries, blueberries, pineapples and melons taste sweeter when you've eliminated sugar from your diet. Carrots and corn taste wonderfully sweet too. When you quit sugar, your taste buds begin to appreciate the natural sweetness of so many other foods, you hardly miss it.

I have noticed that! I took a bite of a dessert and it was so sweet -- it was disgusting lol
