In lieu of the destruction of the Man Cave, there are several reasons:
1. In its brief history, although very relevant to the nature of this site, it was the most underutilized forum on DXP. Assiduously avoided, in fact, by those who could have used it the most.
2. The Man Cave, while a good idea and interesting when it first started, has since been overrun by those who decide a good thing cannot be had, and subjected to the same torrent of relationship related posting behavior that is rampant across every other forum
3. There are individuals that utilize this site that are interested in an actual discussion of topics that do NOT involve missed texts, phone calls, social media "likes", why this person decides to hang out with that person instead of the OP, etc.
Therefore, by bringing back the Validation Forum,
1. It will be avoided by those who in part have successfully destroyed the Man Cave
2. It will be a place that will be free of the sort of items mentioned in item 3 in the "why" section
3. It could be a place of topics that once again have serious interest and discussion
4. Can capture the essence of what the Man Cave was when started, without having to wade through multiple posts of chaff to actually get to a response of interest
5. Those "in the know" will know there is a place that will remain unmolested by the "usual suspects"
Sure, the title and description would be a little misleading, but given the lack of respect for the intended title of a forum such as "Man Cave", in this case a little false advertising may be necessary given the information above.
Thank you for your consideration.
