FYI (in case you don't know), every 29 years, Saturn returns to the sign it was in the day you were born...the Saturn Return. Everyone goes through this around age 28-30, and it can be seen as your rite of passage into adulthood. You are shedding your old skin for new skin and setting the foundations for the rest of your life. It's a challenging time and can mean a lot of endings (career, relationships, death) and a lot of beginning (new jobs, new relationships, birth).

Saturn, itself, is known as the task master. He's our reality check, our limitations, our restrictions, our insecurities, our weaknesses. Whatever sign Saturn was in on the day you were born determines what area's of our life will endure struggle. E.g., I have Saturn in Libra, thus, my challenge through life will be finding balance in relationships, and forming an inner union with mind, body and soul. Of course, it goes a lot deeper than that, and house placement goes into further detail.

Anyway, Saturn is now in the sign of Leo (July 2005-September 2007), which means struggle with creativity, self-identity, romance and socializing, and etc. I was wondering if their are any leos dating someone who's going through their Saturn Return. My partner is going through his, and I'm trying to find out what your experience has been in dating someone during this transit.

You know I am lol

His saturn is in Leo at 12 degrees. Thank goodness it's a loose conjunction to my sun. Either way, when it was exact he spent most of his time hanging out with me and working. In fact his work load became much heavier. His choice, he was trying to save money because of 'this goal' he had : ) It didn't seem to impact him in the negative sense. He just knew what he wanted in life all of a sudden and went for it. He told me he feels this strong need to settle down now (saturn/stability craving etc . .) Something that happens a lot with saturn returns I guess.

Saturn is exalted in Libra, so it's "content" w/ being in this sign. I have saturn in libra in the second house...I'm assuming that the issues I face while enduring my saturn return will center around values, security, possessions within relationships w/ self and other...or something like that. I feel I will either endure a hard break-up or get married. We'll see.

Purrr...didn't you say that you and Virgo were friends for a while b/4 getting together? You may be the only thing "leo" to come outta of his return...but, don't understimate yourself and your role in his life. His saturn conjuct our sun (loose or not) means that he sees more of you, and values you more than you could ever imagine. You exhibit qualities he lacks, and he could really be fascinated w/ you. That's a good thing. I've read that when saturn and sun get together, sun acts as a shining and active example for saturn, which helps him overcome the limitations that saturn represents...you are a GODESS to him...you go, girl!

Ldybg3777...you are done w/ your saturn return...congratulations. Saturn is in my sun sign right now, so i'm getting a taste of what my return will be like. I hope to make it through successfully w/ solid foundations as you have!

Cheers!

ahaa I love it! Thanks M Ldy. I also have an 11th house stell so that was an interesting read too.

...While this implies a financial risk, it can also be viewed as the willingness to take a risk -- on love, with money or in life....

I think it's interesting that risks and speculation are associated with such a fixed sign. Every now and again I have my 'fuck it' moments. I see this in him as well. He will drop everything and bank it all on one decision once it's made. Not always good but oh well.
