He won't let me be his friend...

So I've kind of outgrown my fuck buddy Leo, and the whole thing - from my perspective anyway - has run it's course, but I think he is adorable and I contact him every few months to see how he is. He always responds and is always lovely but I want us to talk regularly and be friends and he will not allow that. He says he can't contact me and talk to me coz then he misses me and wants me but our drama goes no-where.
How can I be his friend??

It might just take some time. If he has hurt pride, etc, it may take some time to really come around, just keep doing what you are doing, contact him from time to time. Not much more you can do, can't force him.

I get to this point with people all the time. It's sort of difficult to explain.

There are some people in this world who are just friends. Then there are others who I feel deeper for. I guess you could call it love. When love doesn't work right the friend aspect is unfortunate ruined. That doesn't mean I'd hate you, and would still speak kindly to you. The fact is now that I've developed true feelings for someone, but the relationship isn't true, I force myself to stay away. The reason is because the second I'd see you I'd immediately be hit with negative fellings and the reality it will never work.

Awe Monty... lol I don't mean to be disrespectful. There is more to it; it was mutual and had been going on for over a year. A lot of stuff has got in the way and he actually has a gf now and has had gfs on and off all along, so it's not right for him to have his cake and eat it so to speak. 🙂

Soul: that's an interesting insight, I really never thought of it that way. Id never really envisaged that he would develop those deep feelings as he is young and could have anyone really but I understand your point that seeing someone you have feelings for could actually be a negative if the relationship can't go anywhere for some reason..

Leo no like play games . I am Leo too and I also don't accept be friend with someone I love. Probably his feelings are love feelings for you and Leo never mixt love with simple friends being after that.... We also can't understand those who do this thing and we consider them without real feelings. Is like you want to prepare first a cake, then suddenly from the composition of that cake, you will want to make a icecream ! Leo not admitting this . Until you will understand that for him love is love and friends are different, you have to learn to never do this with a Leo. Leo know very well what she or he wants and we have fixed goals and well known . Hope this is help 🙂

You hurt him so much before , in your drama story as you so, for sure he found something more stabile and this is why now he don't accept you to be friends, because he still loves you in his deep heart, but he knows you cannot change yourself and will make him suffer more, he does not want this again anymore 🙂 If you really need a friend, find other one ! let him be happy as he desire 🙂 if you want him , then you have to accept the way he wants to be with him, not to be friends only.
