How compatible was I with my Leo ex?

Over in the Taurus section I've been seeking advice about my Taurus GF. I was asked for mine and hers ages, Venus, Mars and Moon, so a more detailed analysis could be carried out, and it was interesting.

The longest and most harmonious relationship I ever had lasted 8.5 years and was with a Leo woman. Were were lovers and best friends and it only ended when she said she loved me but was "no longer in love with me". We could have stayed best friends based on how well be get on, but I found that I couldn't make "friends" work because I still loved her very deeply and found her very desirable physically, so I was always fighting emotions and instincts that couldn't be fulfilled anymore.

I'm curious as to how we stacked-up as a partnership, so perhaps someone could take a look at our stats...

DOB: 20 September 1974 (Libra Cusp) (35 years old)
Venus: Virgo
Mars: Libra
Moon: Scorpio

Her:
DOB: 28 July 1969 (40 years old)
Venus: Gemini
Mars: Saggitarius
Moon: Capricorn

obviously pretty compatible if it lasted for almost 9 years!

It's interesting how Virgos and Leos (opposite sex) can simply not remain close friends. It is even more interesting to find that this is because Virgos have a strong magnetic physical attraction to Leos that gets in the way of this friendship. This attraction never goes away, even though the Leo might have lost the physical attraction for the Virgo or never had been physically attracted in the first place. However, it's mind-blowing to find that when the physical attraction is reciprocated there are fireworks.

One more tidbit, I was reading an Astrology book made in the 1970's. It was funny to find that the best matches for marriage are Virgo male and Leo female. Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony are one example of this. Statistics show (these are online, google it will not provide link lol) that Leo females and Aries male/Sag male divorce rate is extremely high despite astrological claims of them being the best match ever. From what I've seen which should definately not be a representative of concrete statistical evidence, Virgo/ Cap don't work due to power/jealousy issues and they are supposedly the best match for each other as well.
