How to patch up a relationship with a leo man?

My Leo and I went through a rough patch lately due to many problems from my side and various events.

I finally called him yesterday and he told me he was pleased to hear I'm good, was nice to hear my voice, should see each other but not ready to slip back where we were in the past. I asked if he had any intention to date other girls and said he did not know.

Should I back up and wait for him to come back or let him see what's around??
