Leo Bosses

You guys are great, from my experience dealing with you guys, all hard-working, not lazy at all and give it to us straight if we fall out of line and funny!

much appreciated! i have been put in the "boss" role before and i would have to agree!

I had two Leo bosses at the same time at my current job. One got promoted and one left the company - both had cool management style s.

Now, I have a Taurus boss who is from NJ - he's spastic!

I've been in the boss position at a few of my prior jobs as well. My management style is very laid back with no micro-management at all. I always try to treat people as I would like to be treated, therefore I NEVER tell someone what to do, I find I get better results when I ask you to do it instead. You have to learn how to work with different personalities.

I have a former employee that I met when I hired her 13 years ago and now she is and has been my BFF (we dont work together anymore but I hired her in 2 separate jobs) and she tells me that I was the best boss she ever had... I knew how to handle her style . She is a Cappy... very driven and tended to blow up and react impulsively to petty things in the workplace... I learned just to let her vent and then when she was done, I would tell her.... Okay... do you feel better now? Suck it up and go do your job. And she would always laugh and say thank you!

It is said on lots of sites that Leo's make good managers because we are hard workers with a knack for getting things done. Personally, I think the fact that we are warm hearted helps us to work well with our collegues. I myself don't let things bother me much. Petty shit rolls of my back and I don't sweat the little shit.

But the warm heart doesn't mean we will let people walk all over us or forgive incompetence easily . Even if you are not the best at something we will support you but there are no free lunches. We love a determined spirit and will seek to further strengthen it , indeed we get joy from guiding people to their maximum potential . From showing them they are as powerful as they think they are . caring but firm that's our style of leadership .

Yes Ike. You are right. I dont tolerate incompetence AT ALL! And I don't have a problem telling you that either. Thats for sure!
