Ummm....is this lion just super insecure or knows what he wants? Only one date. He text me later that night, didn't get them. So he calls my phone the next day. We chit chat a little and he tells me he is interested and cleared out other people wanting to see Id there could be something. Says he feels I am hard to read and thinks I may be disinterested. Also says he needs a "needy" girl. I told him I can be needy at times, but for the most part I M not, so If he needed that type to keep looking. Should I run?

I dunno about run, but if this is what he wants and you know you cannot provide, it, yes move on.

"Needy" = "I want a girl who feeds my ego and makes me feel like a big man."

Controlling came to mind, that's why I thought maybe it would be best to just walk away now.

That is a good point about needy, I can feed his ego but probably not the way he would be used to.

Yeeah, Leo egos are just too much for me. It's supposed to be a relationship, not pairing off with a yes (wo)man that makes you feel good about yourself because your ego is ridiculous. Relationships are complementary, not complimentary, sorry.

This is not an ego issue as pointed out above. Its just that when we think of a gal, we think long term relationship and we never cheat, once we are with a gal. So we would also want the same committment from other side.

If he doesn't fit your bill - tell him on his face and he would stop bothering you.
