Leo with Mars in Cancer/Venus in Virgo

Can't quite make sense of this fella.

He seems very masculine and Leo, but goes in waves of chasing me and making his interest known and then seemingly backing off and wanting me to come to him.

I've dated Leos so I have an ok understanding of how they operate, but I haven't come across this Mars/Venus combination before.

Any insight? Perhaps the side-stepping crab ways of his Mars in Cancer keep him from just full on perusing or perhaps he's just not that interested. As far as he has told me (but who knows), he isn't dating anyone else...he and I are hardly dating, just in the get to know you stages, but still curious for some insight.

Haha well I did in the beginning but then I got scared I was doing all the work and wondered if he was all that interested since I didn't give him too much of a chance to chase ME. Just wondered if those placements of him were indicative of a more laid back approach or if it's just as simple as he's not that into me.

Right and I've been told enough times by men that they thought I wasn't interested so they pulled back, meanwhile the entire time I thought I was making it VERY clear that I was interested. I must be doing or carrying myself in a way that I'm not aware of to illicit so much confusion :/

Ask questions, give genuine compliments, touching, telling them about a cool place/thing they would like and hinting I would show them, no game playing.

With this particular guy, we were having drinks and I went to get a napkin from the bar and a guy started flirting with me and I immediately gestured toward the Leo making it clear I was with him and then when I got back to my Leo I made sure my eyes and attention were glued on him.

They must just be seeing other women? I have no idea! I'm smart, live alone, have a good job, stay in shape, well-traveled, cook, paint, can hold an interesting conversation, witty. I don't fucking get it.

That's what my girlfriends think too, the intimidation thing but I thought that was just something people say to make you feel better haha. I'm attractive but I'm not hotter than the million other attractive women in my age group who are single and dating. I always thought my one-up was that I'm not a total self-righteous entitles idiot like some of the above aforementioned women are. Just want to know what I'm doing to be confusing so I can correct it going forward. I can try being more straight forward...maybe I think I am blunt but am not.

Well I don't think ppl have said it just to be nice. I've always had that problem. People, in particular men, have always been intimidated by me. It's only the brave souls (mostly fire) who have the balls to ask me out, that and perverts and weirdos. I've asked some of my male friends why they've never asked me out (after confessing to me months after that they had/have a thing for me) to which one replied with "your intimidating". I'm like wth? I'm not a witch, nice, amicable, and get a long with most people.

But it's how they view us. I was told I was intimidating numerous times because of my personality, body, beauty, and mentality. It's like you're too good to be true, therefore you might reject me. The 'I'm not good enough' for you syndrome.

I've thought that I was being transparent with people and honest. But turns out, according to a Leo in my life, that I don't allow myself to be understood. In other words an enigma. I just don't get it either? Maybe that's why only air signs understand each other... I mean we are sisters after all. Lol.

This particular Leo, on one of our dates, said something to the effect of "you must have lots of guys attention huh?" so perhaps he is at least slightly aware or thinking I'm a good catch. It's a shame cus I thought he and I got along quite well and he definitely comes across as confident so that's why I just assumed he wasn't interested rather than him being intimidated. He's very manly and when I told him I found him very masculine/sexy he refused to believe I thought that!

Funny. I attract a lot of Aries and Libra men. Leos I found to be quite perplexing. I gained a lot of insight by reading the Sextrology book I purchased. There was a passage on their saying that Leo like women vying for them. They go after a lady, reel her in, then sit back and watch which one will 'win', as they tend to have lots of female admirers. They can be pretty lazy when it comes to chasing after a lady. But then again I think it also depends on their moon sign. Do you happen to know your Leos placements?

OMG! lmao. His moon is in Scorpio?! Makes total sense now. You have an introvert/extrovert. A walking contradiction. You will have fun with this one...and a lot of frustration. But the rewards are amazing in the end. The Leo in my life has Scorpio moon too and he's not your typical Leo. If you do decide to take it further he will want you to stand by him, thick and thin. He will not voice this though. It's tricky. You need to be sure you are in it for the long haul. 'Ride or die' mentality lol

Hahah I ever got to that place with him I'd be ride or die, but currently I can't even get him to reach out to me very much. This morning, however, very unlike him, he messaged me saying happy friday and we made chit chat and I asked what he's doing this weekend and he asked me what I'd doing and I told him I'm not doing anything tonight and then I told him my other small plans this weekend and he just ever responded.

Of course he's at work and likely busy, but I'm just wondering if he will reach out at some point to make plans. What's the best way to try and get things rolling here so I can at least get to know him better?

I'd say be patient. Befriend him and what not. I would just text him and invite him out for coffee or to a movie. I know our generation is used to the more traditional sense but I think you will need to kind of bring him out of the shadows. I think you will need to take the lead most of the time on this one. Lol

One thing I noticed about Leos and this combo in general (moon Scorpio) is they like upfront people. But you have to be careful how you deliver it. You might offend/insult them.Their Leo sensitivity mixed in with Scorpios tendency to get even...can be hurtful to the victim (you) and heartbreaking. One thing I've noticed about him is that when he's upset, he will do hurtful things like (ignoring my texts and calls) and being short with me if he replies. Then when we meet up, he'll try and get even by saying hurtful things to me. I don't think he does this on purpose but it's just something you need to be aware of.

Since you're moon is in Virgo, you can work with his Scorpio moon but be careful with the criticism that Virgos tend to give. His sensitive Leo sun will not like this. On top of that his Scorpio moon will drain your Gemini sun. Trust me when I say this, the emotionallity and constant rows and upsets with him can be draining to say the least. You have to be careful. Think of it like a vampire. They can drain the life out of you. You need to learn to step back and take a breather once in a while otherwise you will end up hurt. This is a constant struggle I deal with. My emotional side sometimes feels drained and ready to collapse (think of Katana in her last moments in Mortal Kombat at the hands of her opponent - can we say "FATALITY" lol) But sexually and at most times emotionally I feel like his intensity is a turn on. I love it. I think it's my Taurus mars that balances this out.

If you gave him the slightest incline you don't like him he's still not 100% . Crabs need security too.

Maybe I will reach out to him later this evening and check in with him. This is very outside of what I'm used to...not that I mind that, but definitely not natural.

Yeah we are weird. 😆 friend told me "You are really good at making men believe you like them, but then you go cold and it's confusing" I probably go cold cause they have said something or done something that made me feel they weren't on the same level.
