Is this a common trait?
Acting flashy, to test the other person/ see if they will get jealous.

For example: you like someone, but you're not sure if they like you back or you're not getting the attention/reassurance you want from them.... so you talk to/flirt with someone else in front of them just so you can see if they will be jealous or not.?

Usually if we're not receiving the attention we want from a particular person, we will tend to find it elsewhere. We're rulled by the sun which means we think the world revolves around us. It's probably an insecurity, but if you're interested in a Leo, show them all your interest and they'll make you feel like you're the only person in a crowded room.

nope. not my thing. i have caught myself talking about another guy's attention towards me to my SO but that's about as far as i go. i don't even like it when i see myself doing that so i try to be conscious of it.

it might be related to a minor insecurity but it's more or less that i want my lover to see me as the most special woman (other than the women in his family) in his life. i admit it... i want him to adore me. it's only because i adore him and i want reciprocation. equal intensity love. the thing with me is that i don't care what anyone else thinks of me. however, i care far too much about what those closest to me think... especially my partner. i'm thinking it might stem from past abandonment issues. it's rather silly though so i try to practice more self-containment.
