Make sure to feed us and pet us and we're harmless housecats 😛
Yeap, Tippi Hedren. Worst mother of that year lol.
maybe it was the lions love for Melanie, that kept him calm
I like to think feral wild beasts like a lion are capable of love :,)
There was an incident where the lion attacked its handler, so yes he was not completely docile.
This is why it intrigues me the most even though it's stupid yes.

Lions are worse than pit bulls.
no duh it's a wild animal, a giraffe would be worse than a pit bull
Pit bulls behavior reflects the owner.
My boy would only maul you if I wish him to 😉

No duh, your logic.. I could not let this one go even after a few days.
Giraffes are herbivores. A giraffe cannot be worse than a pit bull.
Pit bulls are known to maul their owners.
I read one case just a few days ago. And to bring a lion into your pride? That's asking for it. They're too rich and they probably don't study science.Sure, you read about people who say Lions are tame once they accept you as family.. until one day they just disappear.
Some animals let instinct override their emotions. But unlike humans, you can't blame them. They're nature.

I've seen the fallout of a pitbull who almost killed another (little) dog
and bit the owner, who then had to go to the ER. 😢
However... it was a rescue animal who had been horribly mistreated and (I think)
was not ready to be placed in a home-- even a foster home-- with other dogs.
Sometimes I think too much is expected of these animals, too quickly.
There are others here who have a lot more knowledge in this area than I do, though.
And a giraffe could kill you, if you threatened it.

What do you know about the breed? What you read in the papers? Have you taken the time to know the history of the breed, the temperament bred into the breed, why that temperament, and how human aggression is not tolerated in the breed by true fanciers? Most dogs in the papers are not really "pit bulls' but mutts or another breed.
Can you pick out the pit bull from this website? Most people can not unless they are true fancier of the breed. I got it on first pick. Did the first time I went to the sight many years ago and today.
Monty- A Pit Bull is breed to fight in the pit. Dog Aggression is expected in the breed. Hence, why the breed is not for the novice owner and for one who is unable and unwilling to research and respect the breed.
*fight in the pit against another dog. The earlier breeds baited boars and bulls.
The problem comes in is you stating FALSE information. A Pit Bull is not fierce, and if you knew the breed, they are actually big scared dogs. The Chihuahua's I had were more "fierce" than the pit bulls I have owned or come across. Don't give out wrong incorrect information. In a general topic, you are stating lies about the breed.
And seriously, you are comparing a domesticated animal against a wild animal? Really? No logical pattern there.
You should really read up on any breed you decide to own because you will be a dangerous dog owner. There is NO such thing as a teacup Chihuahua. They are a toy breed with a standard weight for the breed . Anything smaller that is considered a "teacup" is very dangerous health wise to the dog. So these irresponsible owners wanting these tiny dogs a perpetuating unhealthy sick dogs. It is sickening. The worst thing out there are not the lions, pit bulls or chihuahua's but the stupid and ignorant people who own them.
No sweetheart, don't mistake my intolerance for ignorance and the refusal to become educated with deep seated anger. You are wrong once again.

Did you know Leo Melanie griffith as a child had an actual lion as a companion?
That's really interesting.
