Is our pride really an issue? Has anyone ever told you that you're too damn proud? Has it affected your life in anyway?

I don't have a problem with Leo pride, Leo energy. It has helped me to appreciate other peoples bright aura and to embrace oneself as you guys do.

I've often wondered why some people take issue with Leo pride, unless the Leo is immature and/or messed up and is being condescending to someone who doesn't deserve to be talked down to, in which case that isn't pride in my view. There are some people (not always specifically Leos) who won't apologize for things that they did that are unquestionable wrong thanks to "pride" supposedly, but again I don't see that as what pride necessarily means here, or rather there are healthy kinds of pride and unhealthy kinds.

Most people really like it when someone they care about says, "I'm proud of you" - that doesn't get questioned as being wrong, but saying it about oneself "I'm proud of myself" is somehow seen as wrong, but that's silly. It's healthy and a great thing.

I tend to use the word "dignity" to indicate healthy pride.

I'm not a Leo I'm an Aqua but I think being proud and having a lot of pride in oneself should not be seen as a negative or an issue. If it is it's more times than not someone else's insecurity that is the actual issue.

I think people tend to confuse ego with pride and confidence with arrogance and Leos tend to be (at least from my experience) very prideful and confident which can be intimidating to some which in turn may give them that negative impression. But as I stated it's more of the other person's issue to deal with.

I'm not saying Leos aren't capable of having a huge ego or being arrogant but it seems to me they are often misunderstood. Especially during a time where it seems a lot of people are lacking self respect and will kill their pride for money or pseudo fame.

Anyway, personally pride and confidence are some of the traits that I find appealing about you lions and lionesses. I find energy like that refreshing. After all who wants to associate with anyone who lacks either. At the end of the day if you are content with yourself and you know you aren't hurting anyone then to hell with what anyone thinks.

I agree 100% with metalaquamonkey about how pride is a good thing and isn't arrogance.

I'm not a Leo, but I've intimidated some people by being confident and giving direct eye contact and definitely I was being nice at the same time so it was weird to see that reaction, but it was never people who were secure, they had a lot of insecurities and problems that had nothing to do with me.

Jynja, maybe it's not so much pride, but the air of snobbery you seem to portray, and believe me after being around some of you for a while, it's almost a sickening feeling we get from all the bullbutter that comes out of your mouth, definitely not jealousy dear.

You don't know the rest of us from Adam's housecat.

So simple-minded in your bitterness.
