It bothers me that while the other three cardinal signs I can get, you guys are the hardest to get into your mindset!

I read iron fist hidden in a velvet glove and how good you guys can puppet others into doing what you want. Though when trusted into the spotlight, how do those tactics play out? How do they change?

I want to show Libra as being just as capable as other cardinal signs, but so far I got:

- Can sell ice to penguins.
- Make you think walking off a cliff so you can fly was your idea.
- Will always be the pretty one out of the four cardinals. 😆
- Overthinking and other people focused.

That's just the tip of the iceberg...which is also for sale...

We also realize the powers we have. Luckily, just before my uncle bleed out in the street, he warned libras "with great power comes great responsibility"

I'm surprised no Libra has taking intitiative on this. Maybe they are still deciding lol.

Not much to go on. First it admits he doesn't understand libra's. Next says all we do is manipulate. The only question asked is if we're gonna continue manipulating people our whole lives...

It probably would have done better to just say you don't understand than to prove it.

Well.. for me it's like.. I see 5 possible things happening out of a certain situation. I could have the power to change it, but I wouldn't want to mostly on the fact that I care for the person or because I wouldn't want the person to do the same thing to me if they had the choice/if they were in my shoes. I think that's where the "manipulation" part comes in... whether or not we choose to control the situation, we still control it because of the fact we are aware of what is happening. We kind of play the "God hand." We like to keep the peace.

So not a domineering cookiemonster, got it.
Though why do you guys get labeled as manipluative then?

I think as Sugarfoot said, respecting people and being nice just isn't in fashion nowadays.

Yea

Some people tend to be suspicious of people who don't know them but are interested in them and nice to them. They think you're being that way because you want something from them.

I've noticed when I'm accused of manipulation it usually starts from a position of flexibility on my side. Something where I'm okay with multiple outcomes. In that situation I'll do whichever someone else prefers. That's is the basis for what gets labeled as people pleasing.

I'm not exactly sure how the jump from people pleasing to manipulation is made so easily, but it quickly follows.

Sad but true.
Thanks for the info!
Though is there anything about Libras you all are tired of seeing or never see come up when potrayed in media?

I'm tired of fake and wishy washy. Every other sign gets excused for their moodiness and inconsistent behavior. Libras don't ever get cut a break on that.

Also I'm tired of libra men being called weak. Just from what I've seen on here (not a lot of real life experience), libra men are the most gentlemanly, controlled, and protective of all the men in the zodiac. I think they're alpha in their own way, not the typical way.

Yes, the weakness thing. I'm tired of having kindness confused for weakness. There are certainly lines and limits. Heh, this is probably why we get called manipulaters. Someone crosses a line to took advantage of that kindness. When that happens I get upset. Then someone starts with the "oh you only be kind when it suits you", then it's "manipulation".

As to libra leadership, I think my best quality is that it is natural. My gut reaction was to say we are known to be followers, not leaders...but thats one of those nasty stereotypes we get. I'm a leader, people just don't always know I'm leading.

That's sounds terrible, maybe that's why we're called manipulaters... I'd rather you decide to do something than for you to agree with my choice. I overanalyze everything and look at stuff from many different views. That's some of the "okay with multiple outcomes" I said in my other post.

Okay, here... Maybe I see things going any one of four ways. If I have a clear favorite, I'll express it straight up, same for a option I do not want. But if it's not a big deal I'll ask which you prefer. I'll offer suggestions and maybe advice or point of view.

Sometimes people see it as underhanded or manipulative. Some people can't grasp that I don't have to have a preference about everything.

Leadership just comes naturally to Libras. I tend to think we ooze leadership and when combined with our fairness people look to us. I know in my current position I am the one in-charge when the boss is away and I'm the junior man on the team. I like to make sure that people are the best they can be and I know how to make that happen. I know what to say to who to make someone shine and in turn I know how to set someone who deserves it to fail.

I have to agree the double standard really needs to stop. Way to often if I am upset about something it seems everyone else doesn't believe I have a right to have those feelings. Though if the shoe is on the other foot I better be there for them. It really does stem from our cool approach to everything. When you always appear to be happy, calm, cool, and collected people automatically assume that you have no other feelings. Very much the Shrek syndrome...take the time and you'll see we have layers.
