the way i see it, the "buddy" has not obligation to you nor has to explain who he is to you. and your libra friend is a weak person if he relies on others to make or break his friendships based on his actions.
again, write him off. he doesn't deserve your friendship; i don't understand why you would open up that possibility to screw you over again.

bottom line, he's ashamed he let it get to the point of you pressng charges against him and he's acting the way that best makes him feel. write him off.
