I mean generally I'd agree with Sugarfoot but also, I'm a bit different when it comes to relationship anyways... that is to say, I don't date period. But if I were to, the only rule is that they don't "get in my way". But yeah, it's mostly a mental thing.
Right now i am having my mental space. My hubby and i are sitting next to each other doing our own thing. I love it!

I don't really need much physical space. Just mental space. I like being with my partner but we're each doing our own thing, then later (after having time to decompress) we can do something together and have quality time.As an air sign, most of my energy is expended mentally during the day. So, it's hard to have someone who is demanding my full attention or talking my ear off right after a long day. I just need a little peace and quiet before I can be fully engaged with someone else.
What should my partner do? Whatever interests them.

My first thought when I read the thread title was, "none?" but this is a much better answer...

+1000, and also @azeru123..Boy, can I relate..lol. Yes, mental space is a MUST for most Air signs. It irks me to no ends when someone is constantly talking and I'm in my quiet zone. I just go totally blank and have this look..like...I'm not hearing you". Eventually they figure it out. I don't have to say anything, I just have that look.

Why do you chose not to date?

When I need space, don't talk to me. We could be in the same room, I will pretend your not there but yeah, no words or interactions or it makes me mad.I don't really need space when it comes to my S/O, when we got together I had to eliminate space and privacy because we were literally with each other every single day all day.
What is your S/O's sign?

A lot. If I could live on a island by myself, I would.
Lmao
I dont need space from my husband (Pisces sun, Cancer moon) but like others stated, I love it when we're in the same place doing our own thing.
For the rest of the people I interact with, I do need space sometimes. I prefer chatting than talking over the phone or meeting in person because with chatting, I can do other things I'd like to do at the same time. I'd feel like meeting my friends maybe once a year.
My taurus friend loves talking so I do it sometimes. We talk once a week or once a month. Most of the time, we chat.
To me, how much space I require depends on how much I actually like you. If I make no attempt to hang out with you or see you, I dont like you that much lol (just being honest). Space is important to me for de-stressing reasons or just to have some alone time... But i dont need it ALL the time if that helps!
Yeah it's nice to just sit next to someone and read a book or watch tv together, not having to entertain the other person the entire time. Also when I'm feeling a bit emotional I'd rather not take it out on someone else so it would be nice to have some space/alone time then too.

How much space do you prefer and what should your significant other do while you need your space, stay patient and wait for you to come back down to earth? Oh, you air signs 😉
