Traditional astrological wisdom holds that Libras are most compatible with Gemini, Leo, Libra Sagittarius and Aquarius, and least compatible with Aries, Cancer, Capricorn and Pisces. But what do the actual marriage and divorce statistics say?

Mathematician Gunter Sachs conducted a large-scale study of sun signs and found statistically significant results on a number of measures. Marriage and divorce findings are outlined below.

Libra Men

In keeping with traditional astrological wisdom, two Libras make a good match, with higher-than-average rates of marriage and lower-than-average rates of divorce for both genders. Libras are inclined to avoid conflict at all costs, so serious fights between two Libras are unlikely. Both have a strong aesthetic appreciation, a love of refinement and a need for domestic harmony.

As would be expected, Libra men divorce Aries women more frequently than those of any other sign. Aries deals with issues by tackling them head on, whereas Libra detests arguments. This leads to a situation in which Aries provokes and Libra gives in or retreats. Communication breakdown can result.

Libra Women

Libra women are most likely to marry Taurus and Libra men, and to divorce Leos. Although Leo is theoretically a compatible sign, Libra flirtatiousness and Leo??s need to be the center of attention may not always mix well in a romantic relationship. Libra women are least likely to divorce Libra men.
There is a good foundation for the Libra-Taurus match. Although there are some differences between the two signs, both are laid back and not inclined toward argument. They share a love of domestic harmony and a need for comfortable and beautiful surroundings. Libra women appreciate Taurean strength and decisiveness, while Tauruses value Libran refinement and class. A particular benefit with this pairing is that accommodating Libras are less likely to provoke the infamous Taurean stubbornness.

Libra women are least likely to marry Pisces men. Given that Pisces tends toward extremes and Libra craves balance, it is unsurprisingly that this pairing makes it to the altar less frequently.

I'm on board. I adore Taurean energy. I was broken up with my Libran ex-bf (our charts combined gorgeously On Paper) but considering going back when I met my husband who has a Taurus Moon, Virgo Sun & Venus and Libra Rising. Perfect. His Mercury is Leo and normally I have no interest in stroking anyone's ego but he's amazing imo so it works out well.

i absolutely loathe arguing with my SO. i will do almost anything to avoid it. disagreements? fine but a falling out? i can't stand it.

I have to agree with this to a degree. I've always had this crazy, but strange love for Taurus men and vice versa. I've had serious relationships with Taurus men, but never married one mainly because of the clingyness. I was younger then, but maybe I've mellowed out enough to be able to tolerate them more..lol. However, I guess I will never know as I've been married to Capricorn with a double Aries Rising & Moon sign for 27.5 years..(I know right..go figure)..LOL. Somehow it worked out even though astrology have both Caps and Aries as a definite NO NO for Libra's. Well, I usually won't start an argument, but I sure don't mind getting into a heated debate when the opportunity presents itself. I will never back down when it's something that deserves attention.
