I'm catching on when I hear my libra friend say 'fuck it' or 'idk' instead of a straight answer to any of my suggestions or ideas, I know there's more to it. I find that he is likely to do things to go with the flow, not necessarily because he finds it pleasing. It took me a few times of hanging out to figure that out. Now, I make everything halt and wait until he comes clean before I make any further moves. Haha
my ex-Libra loves to say "no". It's his idea of balancing things
if you have done things for me in the past while expecting nothing, yes its very hard to turn that person down b/c in my heart i feel that they are very dependable
but if i start to feel used, slowly i will question helping you
now some people naw its not hard, but some ppl are so damn pushy and sometimes you say yes just to keep from SCREAMING no!!!
If I havnt actually said YES then i mean NO
maybe, sounds good, i'll think about it, i'll let you know, i'll see if i can change some stuff around, might do, hmmm, never been there before, all mean NO lol
Even when people ask me questions about themself like "do you like my new jumper?" i'll respond "oo thats different" that also means no.
it's just a word that I find hard to say, i'm always going out my way to do things for people and make them happy. I'm definately not a push over though.
@TOC I am also guilty of the ignoring people thing, I just cant be mean to people (that have done something mean to me, if they ave hell breaks loose! lol) so I tend to be a big fan of avoiding people that like me if I dont feel the same.
When I want to say no, it is easy to do so.
I will go out of my way to help a friend because that's just what you do for friends. If I am able to help, I will. I'm not talking about crazy stuff and if someone takes advantage of it then they shouldn't be considered a friend anyway.
Sales people... not at all. I have no problem shooting them down. I was in sales for a long time and I know all their tricks too. I do like to haggle with them though.

This is the part where it can get hard for me. If someone was in that "no questions asked, I'll help" area and falls out of it. It is hard to let go sometimes and I have found myself doing things to try help when I know I shouldn't be. Fortunately, this is rare... but damn, it'll mess with you.

Ha sales people get a much less polite word than no. I have the most trouble saying it to people I actually care about, because I dont want to upset them/let them down. If I dont like the person I will get pleasure out of saying no and I will tell them that the reason is simply because I dont like them lol.
Yes. It is extremely difficult for me to turn someone down, even quit a job.
Honestly? I think it is part vanity on my part. I think the person won't get over it. I also think it is part insecurity as in ... maybe this really is as good as it gets.
*shrug*
i rarely have a problem saying no. it can be hard to say no if i really want to do something, but can't. but that's different from when i really want to say no. it's really easy then.
however, i have a hard time saying no if someone "assumes the sale", which works really well on libras. if they just lead us along and don't give us the chance to say no, it's really hard to cut them off to say no.
or i've had times when i wanted to say no, just because i didn't like the high pressure sales treatment i was getting. i love my gym. i wanted to join when i first went in. but i wanted to get a week membership first just to try it. would've paid and everything. the salesgirl totally high pressured me. and i bought, but i wasn't happy about how she did it. i almost said no. but i really like that gym, so i would've only been saying no to myself.
i hate when people are so pushy. it's so disrespectful.

This can be in relation to a favor for a friend, someone trying to sell you something, or even a date from a guy/girl you don't like (one more admirer never hurt anyone right? *hehe*).
Is it difficult for you to turn someone down? How come?
