Stimulating?

I always hear on these posts that Libras like their man/woman to be "Intellectually Stimulating". To me, that can mean many different things.

What does that term mean to a Libra??

I personally am more turned on by someone sparking my intellectual interest then by looks. I can quite easily be talked into bed through intelligent conversation lol

I guess what I'm asking is what does "intelligent" mean. To me it could mean talking about astrophysics, calculus equations and/or the meaning of life. To my friend, intelligent converstation means quick-witted sarcastic banter at rapid speed or to another friend she thinks it's talking about how to solve issues or problems in everyday life. In other words, conversations that improve life.

So my question is to Libras (who seem to bring up the term alot), what is "Intelligent conversation".

im with your friend on the "quick witted sarcastic banter" just anything that shows that they have more to them than meets the eye, use of language is the one for me, love witty people. Anything too serious will only end in a debate where it will take till 6am to agree to disagree and although I do love to debate, I could think of something much more fun to be doing!

yes i hate people who can not appreciate banter, my ex cancerian used to take everything so seriously and take it all personally drove me crazy!!

honestly, i think the only real charm of intelligent people for the libra is that they make us feel good about ourselves, because we can use our own intellects to charm them. if someone is stupid, you've got to be blunt. we like double entendres and witty jokes and allusions to great works. we want to be able to show off. we want to be able to win people over through our perceived strengths. most libras feel pretty good about their minds and personalities, but are often pretty insecure about their looks and status.

that's how i see it.

for me...beauty draws me in, the other stuff is what keeps me there or turns me off.

"intellectually stimulating"...know a lot about a lot of things. be willing to talk about religion, politics, all that stuff that people aren't supposed to talk about because disagreements are so unpleasant. be willing to debate, to disagree, but still get along once the argument is over. have snobby tastes, while not acting snobby. get weird jokes. get obscure references. give them back in turn.

btw, i've always gotten along VERY well intellectually with tauruses. they tend to be very good at all that stuff.

Clever word play is a HUGE turn on.

Even a well crafted, deliberate sentence can set the lions on fire.

Intellectually stimulating can also mean, I learn something new. A new perspective, a new creative way to look at a situation, someone I can explore ideas with. Just a new way of looking at things.

Maybe I should look into bein a Mime professionally.

if you put on the mime act hoping to impress and libra can tell that you are trying to impress, you can be pretty stupid and boring, and we'll mostly look past it. libras are bottomless pits of need to be flattered. love us. tell us how smart and attractive and charming you think we are. say those magic words 'i thought you were out of my league'. make us melt. we will be putty in your hands.

unless you're ugly. but if you're average, flattering libra will make you look beautiful.

Libras like sarcasm it seems. Arguments as well. 🙂

For me conversation is one of the tastier spices of life. I like being challenged by a quick wit dewlivered by a clever tounge. I think one of the difficulties people have with us is our banter has an air of insult but we aren't trying to be insulting just instigating return fire so we can get a good battle of wit going.

One of Angels beast qualities is her ability to challenge me in this area.

A couple of years ago we drove to california and got together with my childhood friends and we had her rolling with our banter. The group consisted of a gemini, aries, capricorn and aquarius. We can spend entire days just drinking smoking and talking shit to each other without running out of naterial. It is because it is usually so abstract and filled with double meaning that it just feeds itself.

Some people think in certifiably nutz because of the stuff that comes out of my mouth but once people get that everything is in the spirit of humor they just egg me on.

I explain the libran sense of humor like this:

To us our presence is almost third person. Like watching a movie, if something pops into our head its like were thinking if someone said or did this right now it would be hilarious so it just comes out.
