personally, I think many people grow up with the idea of love in their heads and when they find someone that seems to be perfect as a lifelong companion they sort of invent love.

Sometimes I think the popular idea of "LOVE" is over rated and I hate Valentine's Day. Then I realize it's because I'm lonely as hell.

Love is great, if it is given and recieved freely.

I think there are many different types of love. There's the lust/crush love (which I hate), there's the soulmate kind of love (which doesn't have to be sexual at all), and there's the family kind of love.

I love love, as I am a Leo and a burning torch of passion and desire (don't believe, well then you don't know me well enough). But I'm saddened by the fact I haven't very many people who veiw love the way I do, which is a live every moment in the moment type deal.

Oh yeah, and love should be like a thunderstorm with lots of lightning!!!

I believe Love is a reality. It is everywhere, all the time, even when we don't think it is. Someone out there loves you, always. And if you really think about it, there's probably someone you love, too. In reality, there are probably several people. I also believe there are different kinds of love, even to the extent that you can love many different people (in a romantic way), all for different reasons. It's just a matter of who you love *the most*, I think, that determines who you end up with. And eventually, the love you have for that person will (or, it's supposed to) negate the romantic love you have for others and your couple-love will evolve and grow, or some butter. lol. If that makes sense.

Actually, I would call myself a hopeful romantic. I have hope, however slim, that there are perfect people out there. I met numerous people that are very close. To me, a perfect person is perfect for me, even with their flaws. To find domeone like that who is in sync with you is the closest anyone will get to the idealized phrase "true love"

I agree Gwen. Just be as open as possible, even to the people you initially think of as not in synch with you, because I'll tell you, sometimes your "opposite" can be a perfect balance for you.

LOL!!! Gwen, that's why we get along so well!!!

You guys are wrong, there is such a thing as true love... The only problem is when you don't realize that's what it is until it's too late...

lol pheonix. Morgan is even more hopeless than me. Atleast I look forward to finding the perfect guy. She cringes at the thought (and tries to create flaws in perfect people). If I were a psychaitrist I'd prescribe her happy pills.

lol very funny. I'll have to remember that.

And if you keep thinking like that, you'll never get what you want in the first place, oh-so-depressed-and-lonely-one

It most definitely exists but not quite in the fairy tale way many imagine.

Love is not perfect. It requires work and patience to make it grow and blossom.

It is not limited. We can love many people in many different ways.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
