Posted by IxionI’ve seen muggles (a majority) do same shit back when I chose to associate with them. Everybody does this because -they can- and there’s no retribution. There IS retribution for touching someone, even by accident, without their consent. A very legal one. So people use and abuse it til no end.
Don't let a very vocal minority of the social justice movement bamboozle you into thinking we conflate casual touch with sexual assault and other violent behavior. The literature does not, the movement does not.

Posted by RamOfPeaceThat's not really the answer to what i wrote. The tough will survive while the coddled snowflakes will wither away.
I was born and raised in Russia. People there are even more of a cruel, hearless shit than here, the only difference is they don’t hide the fact.

Posted by EllygantYour passive "oh well," view is disturbing. Shit like this has been gaining momentum and assholes like this ARE getting their way.
It submits to the larger problem of misinformation and the inability to properly speak about abuse and assault.
It's frustrating. But it's just the beginning of change so it will take society time to adjust. With every movement towards change there are people who aim to manipulate a hot topic in defense of their personal agenda. While it's a bit of an extreme metaphor, think of all the social movements where peaceful protesters are blamed for riots or looting caused by others not involved. People are opportunistic.
Simply addressing how such a statement as 'verbally raping' is asinine and selfishly detracts and devalues people who've experienced the trauma is normally enough.
With time that will likely dissipate.

Posted by IxionI say the same thing about actual feminism.

I have many friends who are LGBT, gender fluid, trans, and otherwise differently discriminated against individuals. I recognize their existence as human individuals and respect their rights and individuality.
However, I have an issue with an emerging trend ine would call “snowflakism”. Many festivals (sexually open playgrounds of today) offer experiences through consensual physical interaction and lack thereof is harshly regarded.
This comes back to the “Me too” tag multitudes of female, LGBT, and some male persons have been posting like a storm in the last week.
I understand sexual harassment, rape, unwanted intercourse, abuse, objectification, and other cruel mistreatment.
However some communities have been literally witch hunting consent “trespassers” who happened to joyfully hug another person or else brush shoulders with them against the recipient’s will. Because apparently ANY unwanted touch in america is now regarded as “rape”.
Are you fucking out of your damn mind?
A friend of mine was recently talking to a woman - our mutual acquaintaince - who was disagreeing with him on a sensitive topic. In order to gain leverage, she used the “you’re triggering me, stop it! Or you’ll be verbally raping me and I will have to report that” card. I have no compassion for this bullshit.
People get slaughtered and raped in 3d world countries, and 1st world snowflakes have no excuse for the twofaced “you’re triggering me!” whenever truth hurts too much or their sheltered selves feel too soft to participate in an argument that may burst their gentle bubble.
