I was at two Carol services, one held by the school our son attends and another one for the local community....they were both so calm and peaceful. All the children were dressed up as angels, shepherds and the three wise men.....very sweet. Everyone sang carols and it was a lovely afternoon.
People got up to read poems and passages from the bible, but one poem so spoke to me...it was read out at both services so after the second one i asked the lady who read it if she would give me a copy. She did, the same day and i want to share it with everyone 🙂
*The Power Of Love*
If i decorate my house perfectly with plaid bows and strands of twinkling lights but do not show love to my family, I'm just another decorator
If i slave away in the kitchen, baking dozens of Christmas treats, preparing gourmet meals and arranging a beautifully adorned table at mealtime, but do not show love to my family, I'm just another cook
If i work at the soup kitchen, carol in the nursing home and give all that i have to charity, but do not show love to my family, it profits me nothing
If i trim the spruce with shimmering angels and snowflakes, attend many parties and sing in the choir but forget Jesus, I have missed the point
Love stops the cooking to hug the child. Love is kind though harried and tired. Love doesn't envy another's home that has co-ordinated Christmas table ware.
Love doesn't yell at the children to get out of the way, but is thankful they are there to be in the way. Love doesn't give to those who are only able to give in return but rejoices in giving to those who can't.
Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails. Play stations break, pearl necklaces will be lost, golf clubs will rust, but giving the gift of love will endure

A coworker of mine began to complain that he could not smoke in a restaurant that he'd used to. He said why do they serve beer to customers and allow them to drink but not let a smoker smoke in the building.
I told him that drinking a beer doesn't aff

Just a simple question.
Personally, I think that the worst year of my life has to be 2016. While there were some cool things going on, I was very much angered by the amount of terrible things which happened this year. Not only did my financial state ge
Quick question
Say you're going through a divorce and it's not finalized. Do you tell someone on the first date that you're technically still married or do you wait a few dates?
I just ran out a dim sum place yesterday afternoon because after we got our food, we saw SEVERAL GIANT COCKROACHES crawling by the spice rack DIRECTLY ON OUR TABLE LIKE THEY JUST DON'T GIVE A DAMN.
It was packed and super noisy with bright lights, so i
Are you the person who keeps quiet and observes , let's say, a street brawl from a corner.
Or are you the one who is in the center, with all the spotlight on you, giving a few punches yourself.
Or are you the one that silently sneakily the drama and h
