Is this your way of defending your lady?Its good to give straight forward hard advice but when one resorts to insults it all becomes anti helpful. It just creates attacks all around.

I'm all for honesty and straightforward advice. I am also for diplomacy, a bit of tact and some kindness. It's all in the delivery. Some are not here for a light changing light bulb to be flicked on, they are here to give voice to something and seek a bit of compassion.
I'm not supporting tearing someone else down. I'm simply saying that people are scared of being honest.

civility evolved so that we can maintain communities. i see the value of what you're saying, but being civil/tactful/what-have-you is necessary. it's what allows us to function, and i actually think the world would be a little *worse* if everyone was brutally honest ALL of the time.

Should have added...not always a matter of intelligence. Its often about temperment, as well.
Bottomline is, some people are effective communicators and some are not. Doesn't matter how great your advice is; delivery is everything.
IMO, if you are constantly giving advice that many others can't seem to 'comprehend,' perhaps its not them with the problem. Perhaps you ought to learn how to communicate more effectively, or just shut the fuck up and stop wasting your breath on those too stupid to understand.
