...I'm sure you've all heard or read about the recent one, and there have been some recent small ones prior, and one year two weeks ago...the similar East Harlem explosion.
I'm sure you've all heard and are reading the Gas Company/Con Edison...AGAIN are denying responsiblitly although after the Harlem explosion even though after the state sited training of Con Edison lapsed for pipe fitting technicians.
When the first report of the recent explosion came, residents complained (like East Harlem) days earlier of gas smells and even called the fire department. Suddenly noone is talking about that in recent reports.
For this particular expolsion Con Edison is already blaming a "sub-contractor" for this explosion. Con Edison were in charge of inspecting this "sub-contractor's" work and found a meter was not positioned correctly. Then BOOM.
