Yes! Mine used to be unbearable. Had a moment where I did not leave the house for a year!

Anxiety is a super awful thing. Just like any other mental problem or whatever. Living with a mental issue can be very gruelling if you don't get the right therapy and/or treatment. It slowly kills your spirit and soul.
Charging by your topics - you anxious about one thing! ??

awww yes unfortunately I experience this daily without cannabis. I moved to Cali and began a daily regimine and couldnt be happier with the results. I don't have to go back there... but the things is, any medicine for psychological issues is just a patch. until you address the issue and deal with it, you won't see the results you're looking for. I hope he can talk to someone about his anxiety for the future... whether that's a friend or professional...

Some nights, I am so overstimulated from doing 75 things at the same time surrounded by death and sadness in my 12 hour shifts, that I feel like I'm crawling out of my own skin while in bed. Tossing, turning, bad images imprinted in my brain from the day, every. Single. Part. Of. My. Body. Tense. Feel like screaming but in my own silence. My neck gets sore, my heart beats fast, jaw clenches. Every time I fall asleep, I jump up from sleep and feel freaked out. My dreams are nothing but running from something or I just feel like im still at work busy af with all the monitors beeping.

A huge freak out only happens once in a while but the last was about 3 weeks ago. There was some babies we lost in the nicu and some kiddos in cancer. Plus crazy high census protocol in the hospital. Being a parent is not always easy. Money. Then trying to get my hubby into America and planning a nice wedding all by myself. It was driving me bonkers but I was keeping it all in to myself instead of talking about it.

I have to stretch out and do some yoga. Spread lavender oil on my pillows, meditation music on and fucking breathe. The Leo has helped me realize it's anxiety and just the way he holds me, his soothing words and drive to make everything easier and reassurance he is always there has done wonders for my stress levels. I'm not fucking Wonder Woman that has to do it all on my own anymore.
i feel you girl. i feel so pressured to go go go and give give give. it's hard to slow down! i love you.

trying to beat some anxiety today actually...

How did you overcame it?

Well I didn't. It's a struggle all the time but it's gotten way better with therapy and meds and just growing up a bit and not giving a fuck anymore.

Some years ago I couldn't sleep well for several months because when I was on my bed I could feel my heart very hard as if I had a rock in my chest and couldn't breathe. It stopped when I changed some things in my life, kicked some people out of it. It was nice.

Sometimes it returns, so I just try to keep calm and make plans of how to improve things, just to comfort myself thinking I have a plan B or even C.

Something that has helped me is trying to live more in the moment, if negative things are going to happen and I cannot do anything about them I just forget until they come.

Poor man

Tell him, the way to stop it is to breathe deeply in through the nose, hold for a few seconds and out through the nose with mouth closed....if slows the heart rate down considerably ..

That's what I had him do. Plus, we talked about finances and he calmed down after an hour

🙂

Sounds like you were a comfort to him.....maybe you can be there for him now and then

You sound kind

I am so over people with anxiety, it is learnt and manifested by the very person who has it, take some responsibility and deal with your mental health....

I hate it now people say "oh I have anxiety so that's the reason why" No the reason why is because you haven't done anything about it.

If we were living in the wild the weak die you don't have enough time or energy for anxiety or else you get left behind.

Pull your shit together and get it together!

Anxiety is caused by fear, and this can lead to panic attacks.

Something tells me this man was having a panic attack.

I agree with AbbyNormal,

Medications are just a temporary band-aid.

In my opinion, they're just legalized narcotics manufactured by the FDA.

Address the underlying issue, and then you beat the anxiety.

If your fear is caused by something you can't control, do something about what you CAN control and leave the rest of it to God.

People who are toxic in your environment will be removed.

Stressful jobs that are toxic to your health will be removed.

Then, you will begin to feel 're-centered.'

Start to focus on yourself again, this is why many people turn to Yoga and Tai-chi.

It gives them a chance to breathe, relax, but also an opportunity to focus on themselves again rather than their surroundings.

Getting plenty of rest, and eating healthy foods helps too.

Best of luck to your friend.

Anyone get anxiety to the point you can actually see your heart pounding in your chest?

My Co-worker just had one and it was horrible to watch. I was able to talk him out of it before he got so bad I had to call 911. He's 62 and about to retire and the stress is getting to him about his future.
Nope. Not me.

🤗 cyber hugs!

Love,

Eva

You're the last one who should be mocking mental illnesses.

Anxiety isn't a mental illness it's a disorder, when people focus all their energy into thinking about negative things they create neurological pathways in their minds, it's as easy to undo as it is easy to do.....you don't need drugs or to stop living your life to manage it, just mental exercise

My boss pulled out of the company this past Jan. I got a phone call from him telling me I was out of a job. No notice or anything. As a single mom, I was stressed the fuck out. While I was figuring out what to do next and looking for work, I went through some pretty severe bouts of insomnia along with waking up in the middle of the night with my heart racing so hard. I could actually feel my heart muscle rubbing against my breast plate. I would try to concentrate on my breathing but most times I would have to get out of bed and walk around or walk outside and take some deep breaths of fresh air.

Sure, I would have anxiety during the day but I'm pretty sure those were panic attacks that I was having in the night.
