My Dubai Crab friend gave me this 2 months ago:

"I've flied all over europe, asia, west world, aussie, and new zealand by now, and the only two places I feel comfortable and safe staying in for good at the moment are United States and Australia. Safety-wise they're currently the top of the list, and as far as live and let live goes, there's much more acceptance going around than there ever could be in EU or the Slavic countries. Economy is stable, government is decently supportive, living is affordable. It's no wonder that everybody I know is trying to relocate to either one."

I find it hard to believe the US feels safe and stable.

Maybe it's a matter of perception and we're just being TOLD to THINK the US is going down the tubes...hmmm...

Well, to all of you who have been born and raised here, it's hard to compare vs us who immigrated here from 3 world countries.

And obviously if you're planning on setting up a family, then you need to worry about supply of good quality education.

That's iffy in the states.

The smaller areas tend to have better

school systems... and then there's private

schools but they're expensive. :/
