There is a Kate Bush song called cloud Busting.

It's about a child living in a country where his father has been taken prisoner and the child waits indefinitely for his return. The more he thinks of his father the more he believes he will return.

In cattle and almost all mammals even in women phantom pregnancies are possible. When they happen fluid fills the abdomen and mammaries fill with milk. Urine gives false positives in tests due to hormones.

And this in a way is like manifestation. Its like the patience of job waiting for something to happen. But it never does.

I had a dog who had a phantom pregnancy once. And do you know I swear she knew that she wasn't pregnant. She knew it was a false alarm. She was just uncomfortable.

The "Cloudburst": At the end of her expected gestation term, the female will typically go through labor and release a large rush of cloudy mucus and fluid, with no kid or placenta.

And people think of this as a disappointment. But i think of it as a release. Think of how uncomfortable that was. The relief!

This is why i dont like manifestation. Its carrying so much around.

Like a cult waiting for the chosen day or the rapture. Like MAGA waiting for Trump to save the USA.

That tension before the storm the pressure building. The release of rain and that first burst of thunder.

That JOYOUS moment when you see blood.

I prefer receiving whatever good energy comes my way that i want and letting go.

So many failed rebellions. After so many you develop the archers sense for when to place your bets.

But you also learn there is nothing to fear from bursting the bubble its a relief.

Sometimes nothing is going to happen. So burst the bubble. It will feel soooo good.

Sometimes its vital that the show does NOT go on. And all parades must be cancelled. And don't worry because if its meant to go ahead it will.

But if there is no baby .. no engagement ... no lottery win.. no saviour.. rejoice. The bubble is burst and that is far more miraculous.

And congratulations if you knew all along you are a very wise cunning soul and now you have the sight. And its unlikely (although not impossible ) that you will ever be conned or successfully lied to. Its very unlikely anyone will ever be able to bluff you off your hand. And if you learn how to use that well it might come in handy.

For a farmer or a vet learning which goat is pregnant and which is just uncomfortable .. is vital. Its like knowing which horse to place a bet on.

Also nothing is linear not even birth.
