Posted by DeeLovesRedMost likely not, since you would have to do something pretty serious to be deported unless it has to do with immigration and residency status (in which you were deported for overstaying your visa). It's better to consult your lawyer or get in touch with a lawyer of the respective country you're trying to visit. I've never been deported but I had to consult my lawyer about entering Canada because of my record and at the time, I was inquiring about permanent residency.
If a person gets deported from the US for a crime, would they be able to enter Canada, UK, Australia or any other country that requires a visa?
I´m thinking that theoretically they should be allowed into another country, but what do I know..
does anyone have any knowledge on this?

Posted by nikkistarWow plus I Would imagine that the US and Canada would have some sort of communication being that they're neighbors... Right?!
I don't know about the UK or Australia, but I can tell you that Canada doesn't allow entry for a lot of people that commit any type of crime in the last 5-7 years. That includes things like DUIs.

Posted by UrsaMediocreIt´s not about me.. I was born in the US, I can´t get deported LOL... However, I'm asking for someone I know... Also, they have legal status in the US.. However, they`ve committed a crime and they're in the process of looking for a lawyer...Posted by DeeLovesRedMost likely not, since you would have to do something pretty serious to be deported unless it has to do with immigration and residency status (in which you were deported for overstaying your visa). Posted by DeeLovesRedOh, I didn't mean 'you' literally, I just used 'you' in hypothetical condition tense. But yeah, depends on the severity of the crime. If we're talking felony status, they should really look into that. Certain countries are strict on certain misdemeanors (EX: Canada treats DUI/DWIs like how the UK treats affray).Posted by UrsaMediocreIt´s not about me.. You can't even get in the UK with a clean record. They make it very hard.... I can't imagine they would let you in for being deported for a crime.
