I live with my sister but am tentatively making plans to move out because I hate her boyfriend. Who also lives with us.

Question: if (more like when) I decide to move and she asks me why (because I know she will), should I tell her it's because of her BF, or lie and blame it on something else?

Back story: she and I have lived together for 6 or so years in a great apartment. She's been with her boyfriend for 2 years (only officially for a year-year and a half). He kept insisting they take their relationship to the next step and move in together. There wasn't enough room in our apartment and she didn't want to move out of one awesome apartment into a bigger, but more expensive and less awesome apartment, so, since she was in a position to do so, she bought a house.

Everything is in her name and we have all lived here together for about 6 months.

if you want to get into a long ass 3 days of convo, then tell her that its because you hate the bf.

I've already told her how I feel about him. I just don't want it to come across as an ultimatum or anything by bringing it up again.

Well... it may be more diplomatic to just say that

you're ready to strike out in your own-- create

your own space, blah blah third wheel etc.

Esp if you think they may be getting married any time soon.

If she sees through that (mild) bs, then tell her the truth-- it's

hardly an ultimatum.

It is what it is.
