You die as you live. I don’t have family and buried some friends already. I don’t expect much fuss when I go. There won’t even be a page as I don’t like social media that much.

Some people don't view social media as an important avenue to release notices. A good majority of the older generation still doesn't really use it. You will likely see it more prevalent as the millennials start to age.
Having said that, I am uncomfortable sometimes with people's reactions towards death. For instance, I had an acquaintance recently post a suicide note on FB, and was found the next day. He called out a good friend of his, as the reason the committed the act, but it was over a small argument. The witch hunt that came after was a little intense, and the way some people argued with his family because he chose suicide was grotesque. I may not condone suicide myself, but I am not going to sit there and argue with his family and called them cunts, bitches, and assholes when they ask me to respect their grief. It was completely inappropriate. His family kept his page open, and it doesn't look like they will take it down.
I have another friend from high school I use to live (and her mom) with during a hard time in school, die from ovarian cancer. Her page is left up as a memorial, and every year you can see people say happy birthday to her, and still post memories. It's been like 8 years.
I have another friend that died due to an overdose, his family took down his facebook within a month of his death.
So I think it's based on the cause of death, and if the family is comfortable with the social media aspect or not.

How many monkeys do you know? 😉
For some strange reason DXP didn’t work with my mail provider anymore, so I had to start anew.

Yes. It suffered the same fate as MITM. Sadly resending mail verification doesn’t work - I think it didn’t work years back either. Which is sad as I can’t even delete them to regain the name. Still prefer MITM. Oh well.

RIP
Should I start a Facebook Memorial page for MITM?

I didn't even know she died. Not that I was close with her and should have known but we have a bunch of mutual friends and usually when someone dies people post about them and/or on their page, but there was nothing.
I even googled her obituary and all it says is she passed away May 2015...
Idk why but this makes me incredibly sad that no one cared to post anything about her or her passing.
I know sometimes with social media people go a little too far speculating about causes and circumstances of someone's death rather than just memorializing them...but it's sad and disturbing that no one said anything at all.
Not even the father of her child or his family. They post pics of her daughter, but nothing about her.
Heartbreaking
