Ghost Accounts

Does anyone have a ghost account on Facebook, Instagram, ect? Or know someone that does? What's the point?? How does it make you feel?

I'm dealing with someone who stalks me because I'm friends with her ex from six years ago. She's crazy! But unless I make my profile entirely private (not something I want to do) then I just have to deal with the stalking. It's just uncomfortable knowing someone is watching you so closely.

How do you know you're being stalked?

Because I used to be friends with her and she stalked everything her ex did including any girl he talks to. She's obsessed and manipulative. We haven't been friends in awhile and I met her ex through other friends and he was actually so nice and we became acquaintances. He added me to Instagram. She messaged me that day bitching at me and flipping out.

You should block her, but I guess if she messaged you from a ghost account there is nothing you can do... perhaps report?

I personally have a ghost account on facebook. At first I made it for my online friends I've met on neopets haha, it's mean, but I wasn't comfortable adding these people (and some, I am still very close to) to my account... I allow myself to be geeky / nerdy on there, and I also join certain groups I know I would never join on my main account. (like BPD support, Anxiety, Astrology (lol) etc.)

I am probably more genuine on my ghost one, haha.

I don't censor myself, and I'm less anxious about commenting on things in general. (socially anxious)

I completely understand why you do that. That's an innocent reason to have a ghost account. I'm glad you shared that!

My ex friend told me she had other accounts so she could stalk her ex bf when he blocked her. I don't know what they are. She messaged me on the one I know. Now she's blocked, but it's just uncomfortable to think she's probably looking at mine a lot. I don't post anything bad, but still. I think I'll just have to forget about it.

My Instagram is private and I'm sure I can still use hashtags (could be wrong)

My fiance's ex did this. She would follow everyone she hates, but was nosy and wanted to feel better than them in case they posted about being upset or whatever...umm who the heck does that. Psychos obviously..

I feel sorry for you. I HATE being stalked by crazy girls.

Yes the saying is true. Misery needs company... I really feel bad for anyone who is like this
