One orange juice, tequila and grenadine coming up. Salt through a straw? *cough, wheeze, choke* I'll have a margarita then. I like that hit of salt, then the tart with a sweet finish. Makes my mouth happy.

It was, I took two years of culinary in school. Actually it was a way to simultaneously get 4 A's across the board because cooking is like breathing to me. Anyhoo, it was the entire State, from culinary schools all over. Amassed after passing 3 preliminary competitions, complete with weekend upscale hotel, the works. Dressed as professionals and judged as such. I was quite hoping for 1st place, a scholarship to Johnson & Wales in RI, but I got 3rd and still that sat pretty alright with me. I sell cakes for childrens birthdays and graduations, cook at a restaurant, cook at home. You'd think I'd tire of it, but nope. Still cooking.

LOL I know which one you mean. I rather like the idea of taking over for Anthony Bourdain. Wouldn't that be a dream job? Sincerely. I rather like the idea of traveling all over, eating and making witty commentary.

Awww, really? I rather like Bourdain, busted or not. He has some pretty scathing things to say from time to time. Amusing. "Good Eats", Alton Brown. But his show is quirky and chocked full of scientific approaches to food.

That's great! Give them a good drink. Tomatoes need it. Berries too. If the strawberries are outdoors in the ground keep an eye out for birds and borer type weevils that enjoy them as much as we do. And you'll have to stake the 'maters as they grow or they'll wander all over the ground. Unless you've potted them or got the upside down bag that hangs on a porch hook. What a taste difference. Truly. They'll be far better than anything at market. 🙂

Eschew the horrid, go for the pretty/classy/tasteful. It's what I do. Though I avoid huge shops and the mall as a rule. But give me an antique shop or a good garage sale and I am on that like white on rice.

I live with myself just fine. I even manage to sleep well at night. 😄 I like the baking scents in candles. Vanilla, biscotti, buttercream. Or the really clean/earthy smells. Yankee used to have a mint candle but they discontinued it, the butt heads.

I have gotten so many lovely things from yard sales you wouldn't believe it. My refrigerator? *pulling you into kitchen* Check that out, 1947 Cold Spot, I paid 5 dollars for it. Works like a champ. See my stove? 1939 Skelgas, cream and deep blue. Makes the best pies, cookies and cakes, and honestly. What a thrill every time I light it. Sideboard from the 20s. FREE. Someone put it on the curb ( the fools ). Prints, dressers, iron beds, oh yeh! Antique Queen, right here.

LOL You may keep your malls, that's quite alright. I do go on occasion but usually it's kicking and biting the whole way. My girls call it 'getting out the crow bar'. They do it for my own good so I don't lose touch with reality.
