I would like to find a job somewhere in the UK (although I would consider other parts of Europe) because I want to live and work abroad for at least a couple of years. Only problem is, I will need sponsorship from a company as I'm a US citizen.

I know there is a good cross-section of people reading this board. Any ideas for me? I have a varied sales background and am trying to figure out the best way to approach the process.

Thanks!!

If I were you, I'd stow away on a errr... Boat... And when you get to the UK, make up a fake name and identity, put on a British accent, and hope that when they're about to hire you, they don't do background checks...

Thanks guys...I have such a craving to move to Europe!!
Don't care if it's the UK, Ireland, etc. Have friends in both places so maybe I should see what they know about visas, etc.
I live in Boston and am recently unemployed for the first time in my life. Thinking this might be a time to check out something fun!

Gwen...civilised—? Please explain. Australia may be a new nation comparitively to others, but we all use knives and forks here too! The largest group of immigrants to Australia happens to be the English, so maybe they are privvy to something you are not.

Thanks Phoenix!

It's funny, since I've been "spreading the word" to my friends, I already have options. Teaching English somewhere (Italy), working for a friend's company in London, etc.
I really have always wanted to be over there for at least a year or two.
If not through work, then I'll just keep vacationing there!

Thanks for your well wishes!!
