I think it's safe to say that I spend about $ 200 on coffee a month, just drinking it out. Which is mostly what I do. First thing I do in the morning is hit Starbucks or some local drive thru for some fancy coffee. I really don't know how to stop. I just love the whole ritual.
I sometimes go to coffee places 2-3 times a day. Every day, all year.
I love the foamy milk of cappuccino on my tongue, the way bitter espresso tastes and when it hits my brain cells, I love to bite into chocolate espresso bean and wash it down with a warm latte, I love the salty/sweet flavor of salted mocha, I love the creamy ice of vanilla frappe. I just love it all. I am so addicted.Everyone who knows me, knows me as COFFEE person. If it's one thing I am famous for-it would be coffee and all my foreign languages. Oh and being late everywhere.

Coffee helps with depression too.
I only stopped when I noticed I was physically addicted.

On the occasions I've imbibed FAR too much coffee, I consistently experience the following side-effects:
Heartbeat irregularity
Mild shortness of breath
"The jitters" almost uncontrollable fidgeting
Rise in body temperature
Last time any of the above happened, I believe black espresso was the culprit.
Quite uncomfortable to say the least. A proper caffeine connoisseur can surely imagine(if not relate to)what the subsequent crash feels like. No bueno.

And I'm not talking that cheap product labelled as "coffee" that you find in coffee vendors at work, and that tastes and smells like ashtray

This is the kind of coffee that I drink on daily bases, not that I have a choice. Tastes like muddy water but at 7am I'll take anything. Never fails to give me a stomach ache. Not sure if I ever even tried "real" coffee.click to expand

That's not good. 😢
Coffee ought to be a delight-- maybe cut it with some cream (half & half or whipping)?
Or maybe you're making it a little too strong?
Sometimes (not always) breakfast blends are lighter roast.
Maybe try one of those.click to expand

Coffee is disgusting. That and it makes your breath smell and your teeth yellow.
99% of you in here probably need some heavy teeth whitening lol!

My favorite lately is "dopio con panna"- double shot of espresso with just a dollop of whipped cream, kinda like German kaffe mit schlag. It's a very good pairing.

you all should try Turkish Coffee. That stuff is really strong:
not my kind of flavour though. We tried it when we were at the Turkish restaurant as Mother in law loves different and eclectic cultural foods.

I can still enjoy a cup here or there. But I literally went from drinking 2 lattes a day to no coffee at all. I just woke up one day and was like, 'im done' lol.

Shut up, Xin.
That would be like me saying you must be fat and insecure-- why else would you arbitrarily insult everyone in this post, if not to make yourself feel better?
.......
Is it even possible to not have white teeth, since the advent of modern dentistry?
smh
Unbelievable.

I think this sounds wonderful. 🙂
Last night a young couple came in. Between the rapid Spanish at BOH and their liquid words it was verrrah nice. Middle Eastern I think they were, so sweet. He was feeding her.
You just soak it in.click to expand

Did you get those lovely headaches that come with withdrawal?
😄
Tbh, though, two cups a day isn't really bad, feby.
lol I did for a bit but they went away.. Maybe only a day, two max. They were two large lattes with milk. You know it's bad because my son would be like Mommy wants one yarge yatte with only milk. LOL.click to expand

Xin is PP's distant cousin, lol!
Aww c'mon, she was just expressing her thoughts and opinions on the subject, which is what I asked for. I see no harm 🙂

I drink coffee like some people smoke!
And I'm not talking that cheap product labelled as "coffee" that you find in coffee vendors at work, and that tastes and smells like ashtray, I'm talking about coffee from a coffee machine or directly off the stove. But how healthy/unhealthy is it really?
