In the last decade more than 250,000 Indian farmers have killed themselves because of Monsanto??s costly seeds and pesticides. Globalization and monopoly have forced farmers to buy GM seeds and since GM crops have become pests?? resistance, the farmers have no choice but to purchase Monsanto??s pesticide. Sometimes GM crops fail over and over again; GM crops also do not grow back again next year and every year farmers have to buy new seeds.



Either mankind will stop Monsanto, or Monsanto will stop mankind

oh hell, for once I have to agree with you and L*I*B at the same time, on the same thread. I feel nauseous. however, you're right. Monsanto is EVIL, literally EVIL, and must be stopped. You'd be very surprised how many of us in the USA believe so, but unfortunately most people have no idea how their food is produced today, so they don't even have the proper context for even understanding the danger their food supply is really in.

IMHO Monsanto should be forced to be paying damages to all of those whose crops are pollinated by their GMO crops, not collecting fat settlements.

To the best of my knowledge, they are managing to thwart the people's (that us) legal demands that product containing GMO's be labeled as such, effectively disabling efforts toward boycotting and/or consuming such products.

Exactly. Take into account how little people are aware what's in their own food and kaboom. One of society's weakest points. Remember the huge scandal where a honey company exploited countries and continually put people at risk of foreign chemicals? How easily that rolled out...
