Being raised Christian, there are certain stories from the Bible that defy reality and I'm not talking about the parables. Sure, it's easy to doubt parting seas, weeping rocks and chicks turning to salt, but beyond the "miracles" of God, there are some fairly normal things that don't make good damn sense.

I think some people read the Bible with the perception that the text is "other worldly." If I were to say to you, "King Tut," I think there's an inherent acceptance that a young man lived, ruled and was murdered with that name in Egypt at some point in history. In other words, he was real. But what do people picture when I say, "King David" or "Moses?" Do they consider these to be real people or fictional characters from what is supposed to be a factual account of human existence?

So that brings me to Jesus. Really Mary and Joseph. If you regard Jesus' "parents" as people, the whole story is bullshit. In normal people world it would go something like this...

Joseph and Mary enter after "milking the cow" and enters the home to find Mary's mother making unleavened bread.

"Hi Joseph, it's so good to see you. Hug my neck," says Mary's mother cleaning her hands on her apron as Joseph goes to hug her.

"You know before you leave I have a pot I've been meaning to get your mother, make sure I don't forget it now. Truth is, I need to pay her a visit so we can catch up," Mary's mother while returning to her bread.

"Yes Ma'am. Mother was saying she should head down yonder and sit with you soon herself. I'm sure you two have lots to discuss," says Joseph.

"Well you two can head on out now but before you go..." Mother's voice trails off as she intently looks at her daughter. Suddenly it dawns on her. "GEEZ-USSS! Mary and Joseph(HA!), are you pregnant?"

"No mother. How could I possibly be pregnant?" Mary says nervously while shielding her stomach.

"Have you and Joseph been having sex— Joseph have you been screwing my daughter?!? Mary your father is going to KILL you!" says Mary's mother wielding the rolling pin.

Joseph steps in between Mary's advancing mother and says, "Mother of Mary. I did not have sex with your daughter. An angel visited us both. He told us that if we were wed, God would bless us. God would allow Mary to birth his son."

Mother stares blankly at Joseph and Mary.

Mary breaks the silence, "I know it's hard to believe but it's true. I am carrying the Son of God in my womb. It's a miracle."

Mother sighs deeply, turns to the two youths and says...

"Bitch Please!

My point is, how realistic is the immaculate conception? Why would anyone have believed these two? Ancient man may not have been uber advanced but they weren't exactly stupid. I mean Egyptians built pyramids, Mayans created complex calendars, soon thereafter the Chinese invented gunpowder... we're not talking prehistoric man here walking on all fours and eating rotting carcasses for sustenance. These people were essentially like you and me. Who in modern day would believe that Mary and Joseph didn't get busy?

That along with the fact that we descended from Adam and Even is kinda creepy. That would mean we're all inbred and typically, that leads to a lot of genetic diseases and stupidity. Where most people are stupid, they're not worthy of eating paste.

So I guess where I believe the people to be real, the stories themselves are made of legend. Where great things may have happened, I question if the real message is lost in all the pomposity and Godly interjections.

In long, for those who believe in the Bible, what the fuck is wrong with you?

I think Jesus is AWESOME! btw and so totally follow in his footsteps 😉

those women are good liars.

and chance, that is the dumbest argument ever. romans had no vested interest in recording the history of it foreign territories or its subjects. in fact, they notoriously skewed records (as modern day governments do) which is why historians can't agree on whether genghis kahn was as ruthless as proclaimed or if he was painted as such in an effort to demonize him...which only made him more powerful but the i'm digressing.

the point is to say that it doesn't prove he does exist is complete bullshit as you could also say that NO ONE from the bible existed given the written record occurs 100s of years after the deaths of its major characters. so by your logic, not only did abraham not exist, but neither did moses, joshua, david...

no it means that your ignorance is showing.

i.e. as someone of african descent who was born in the US, at some point my ancestral history ceases to exist. maybe i come from a line of farmers. maybe i come from a line of princesses. who the fuck knows?

you realize the Huns left virtually no record right? and yet, we know of them.

who created stone henge?

the mysteries/unknowns regarding mesopotamia...the "cradle of civilization."

to say that you need a dna sample otherwise he doesn't exist or that he wasn't great because if he were something would exist shows a lack of depth and knowledge on your part when it comes to ancient history in general. in essence, it's easy to assuage the enormity of your ego and that of others with bits of nothing.

it means you have to play by 'tubby rules' of engagement or she get mad..or feigns mock outrage 🙂

& this is why she's no fun to play with leni 😄

historical & religious writings were created to appease the cultural masses they r directed to

which is why they differ in each geographical area to favor such

u can't prove or disprove

Jesus was a con man...

reminds me of family guy episode where Jesus is performing slight of hand tricks to the amazement of idiots haha

we were talking about jesus..not where you come from..you're not that important 😛

the huns can be cross referenced historically..so that's irrelevant

stonehenge and mesopotamia have physicality that's hard to deny

i didn't say dna evidence is needed..i didn't say what i believe. i stated a few facts on evidence of jesus. bits of nothing is what you do with irrelevant smokescreens on huns, dinosaurs, lucy, stonehenge..try to maintain some coherency instead of misdirecting and rambling..someone might be able to take you seriously 🙂(love ya tubbs)

yeah dude like i said...ignorance.

*shakes head*

your premise is illogical and the examples i shared prove it. your lack of knowledge doesn't negate the reality that you don't know shit. hmm...correction. maybe you do know shit that's why what you posted stinks.
