My roach😢 thread as inspiration...let's hear your irrational fears.

Yah my uncle cut his pinky off with a circular saw.

Has a little nub now. 😛

I have a fear of being trapped (how typical) but it goes beyond claustrophobia. I can't feel restrained/restricted at all or I start working myself up.

Also, blood. :/
Never had a problem until I donated a few years ago and fainted (I barely made the weight limit at the time.)
First time I've ever fainted in my life. Worse feeling ever. Like you died. 😢
Ever since...I can't even talk about it. & it's worse when it's a loved one.

My Libra was getting his blood sugar tested one time and I broke out in cold sweats and got all emotional when they pricked his finger and I saw his blood...

Haha, poor thing.

When I was a baby, we had just moved into this little house. She was showering and there was a giant wolf spider in the shower I guess...she ripped the shower curtain down and ran outside screaming with it wrapped around her.

That's how she met & eventually made really good friends with the neighbors. 🙂

I think she left me in the house too. What a bitch. Haha

Escalators scare the crap out of me... I'll go into panic mode if I can't find an elevator.

I have a fear of falling to my death, suppose it doesnt really sound that irrational, but i cant even being on the second floor of a shopping centre without thinking someone might bump into me and knock me over the side. Or on a ladder somehow it will unbalance and I will fall. I am not scared of heights though im fine with planes, just if theres a balcony im going over it! lol

Yeah, I think it's the same for me... I don't like ladders, bridges or being near a ledge for fear I'm going to fall, really the same with the escalator. As I get older, I'm becoming nervous with stairs too. But, it is a fear of heights - even movies in which the camera pans over the edge makes me squirm. Flying is a different story (although I'm sure the plane is going to crash and burn upon take off and landing).

Coasters for me too. I was at an amusement park, age 6 and I thought I was going to get sucked clean out the side. Never again. And my stomach drops when I see one.

That's NOT irrational!! Mine tried to kick me the other day... he's mean (to everyone), he tries to bite all the time too - and My Virgo wonders why I'm a little timid around the horses.

Me too! I really really don't like them, especially the ones with large bodies and furry legs.

I also am afraid of having a wasp fly into my helmet, get trapped and then sting my face repeatedly while I am speeding down the street on my motorcycle.

that's a good one. i have that too, with most animals actually but that fear is fueled by an overwelming phychic feeling of the whats about to happen

Same for me, but specifically being trapped in an elevator. Every time I go into the elevator of this one building I'm in a lot, I just know know KNOW it's gonna break down. Of course it never has, but now it just feels like it's due time. And whenever I go into a new elevator, I always find myself checking to make sure that it has an emergency phone.



Also, I'm scared of emperor penguins. I've never been up close to one, but I know that I really don't want to be near them. In my mind, it just seems unreasonable for a penguin to be so big.


Being trapped in an elevator with an emperor penguin would be my ultimate fear I guess.

altho i cried after going on tower of terror. it's those ghosts! they look so real

(Was this for me?) So actually going into an elevator with an emperor penguin then? I think I would need to ease into it. Like maybe me and the emperor penguin could go swimming together first or something. Then I won't feel so threatened by it and might, on the other hand, feel comforted by its presence in the elevator since we would be friends by then, having gone swimming together and everything.

Oh weird! We're opposite. Although I do have a lot of dreams/nightmares where I'm on an escalator that's moving as fast as a rollercoaster.

there are a few who would miss it.

I like shallow, clear water but I'm deathly afraid of deep, dark, unclear water though.

I've had nightmares where I'd be stranded in large body of black water. I think this fear may also indicate how I am emotionally.

And after learning that Guam was just above the Mariana Trench while I lived there I didn't want to go to the beach much anymore.

OMFG!!!!! just a minute ago i saw the biggest fucking spider i ever saw!! i shit you not this thing fucking rediculous! my bro wanted to kill it but insisted he didn't. instead i just put in a beaker and threw it out. the thing could jump and it had massive teeeth. WOW. it was about as big as my hand, and that's no exaggeration

catching and std/vd. i'm not promiscuous, and i am adamant about using condoms, but even in a monogamous relationship one or both partners can cheat and contract something.

gatherings of people en masse. i don't have social anxiety whatsoever but whenever i end up in a large crowd i always envision mob mentality chaos. people as individuals can be very smart but when in groups can be extremely stupid.

I can't sleep with my feet hanging out the bed/not under the covers. It's like I think something is going to eat them.

After I saw the first Alien film I couldn't sleep without having the covers over my head for MONTHS, because of that face hugger thing.
