I was reading this MSN article this morning about laughter. & it really got me thinking.
The article starts out saying: "Laughter is part of the universal human vocabulary. All members of the human species understand it. Unlike English or French or Swahili, we don't have to learn to speak it. We??re born with the capacity to laugh.
One of the remarkable things about laughter is that it occurs unconsciously. You don't decide to do it. While we can consciously inhibit it, we don't consciously produce laughter. That's why it's very hard to laugh on command or to fake laughter. (Don't take my word for it: Ask a friend to laugh on the spot.)"
So true. Laughter is quite strange, when you really think about it. I'm glad we laugh, but why do we do it? ...seriously?
Lol. I said I'm glad we do it! That article just got me thinking. It really is a strange behavior when you think about it. Like, what are we really doing even—?
Peeps you are hilarious!! I have literally been laughing as I read this thread!!! (I won't tell if I have been passing gas...lol) I love to laugh and I will purposely be ready to laugh whenever I can! I think I am going now to watch some funny videos just so I can laugh!
