Posted by ImarollinIt's an old Irish tradition that dates back to the 5th century decreed by St. Patrick. Some people still do it today.
I've never heard of this tradition. And now I know this year is a leap year too.
Where did you hear this??
We have some interesting "old wives tales" like, if there is a fog ring around the moon, it means it will snow in two weeks... Or if there is thunder in winter it means it will snow in two weeks.

Posted by SecretNo problem! It's a Leap Year subject afterall and Leap year birthdays are interesting too.
Interesting subject... I'm also curious about persons who are born on the 29th, they only celebrate their birthday officially every 4 years, of course some choose to celebrate the day after or before, and for "legal" reasons. Anyone here is a "leap-year baby"?

Have you ever done it? Know anyone who has?
And if he refuses, should he buy you a new dress or 12 pairs of gloves? Such an interesting tradition....
