Spaghetti olio aglio peperoncino
Boil spaghetti in some salt water (tablespoon ish). I put a bit of olive oil too so nothing sticks to the pot.
Get a deep skillet and put some olive oil. I'm guessing 1/3-1/2cup? I usually pour until it looks like there is a good quarter inch. Heat it on medium-low.
Mince a light handful of garlic and cut up some Italian parsley. Depends on how much parsley you like, I usually do equal parts garlic and parsley.
Wait until the oil is started to heat. So flick water at it and as soon as there is a hiss put in the garlic and parsley, then add the pepper and I usually put a little black pepper too.
Then when the garlic just starts to brown turn off the heat but leave it on to keep cooking a minute more or so. It can burn the garlic easy if you don't watch it.
Drain the pasta save a tiny bit of the salt water. Pour the spaghetti into the olive oil mix and add a tiny bit of the salt water for flavor. Toss the pasta for a bit until it's covered then plate.
I usually bake some chicken breast or asparus to go with it.

Sure 🙂
Do you have any recipes, tips to share?
Of course LOL! I didn't come up with them myself though. I wanna try this one —
Vanilla Mint Honey Scrub
Ingredients
1 cup fine sea salt or fine organic sugar
1/2 cup organic sweet almond oil
1/4 cup raw organic honey
1 organic vanilla bean, split and scraped
10 drops organic peppermint essential oil
1 tsp organic vanilla extract (optional)
Directions
Mix the salt or sugar with the oil, scraped vanilla bean pulp, and honey. Add essential oil and stir. If too oily, add more salt or sugar until you reach the desired grainy paste consistency. Scoop into a jar with the split vanilla bean on the bottom for a decorative touch and screw the lid on tight. Use a tablespoon of scrub at a time and rub the paste in your palms until loosened. Gently massage into wet skin and rinse after 2-5 minutes. Your skin will feel exfoliated and moisturized!

Since we are on the subject of olive oil, one of my favorite simple things to put together is an Olive Oil & Spice bread dip. This recipe is my fav. It works well over pasta too imo.
1 tablespoon minced basil
1 tablespoon chopped Italian parsley
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt or 1/2 teaspoon ground sea salt
1/2 teaspoon chopped rosemary
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1/2 teaspoon olive oil
1/8 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
Combine all of the ingredients, EXCEPT oil and lemon. Put in a small food processor (I used my little food chopper). Chop briefly until all ingredients are about the same. Stir in oil and lemon juice.
TO SERVE: Combine about 1 1/2 teaspoons spice blend to 3 to 4 tablespoons olive oil on a small Dish. Dip sliced bread in mixture. French bread is good.

PP, I like to use witch hazel to clean my face, like a toner...
Im not sure if ive used that LOL! The only real 'recipe' that I came up with on my own, was sometimes I take an orange, or a grapefruit, squeeze the juice out, and rub it on my face, and then lock it in with Vaseline so the Vitamin C absorbes better. It works —click to expand

For ingrown hair and pimples
You will need to separate containers to start this:
1) Crush 18 tablets of uncoated aspirin
2) Dissolve these in 5.5 oz of 70% rubbing alcohol
3) Crush 8 tablets of uncoated aspirin
4) Dissolve these in 2.5 oz of witch hazel
5) Combine the rubbing alcohol and witch hazel solutions. Some settling of aspirin may occur, just shake it well before you use it.
APPLY once a day after waxing to prevent and treat ingrown hairs or use it to zap pimples.
AMAZING stuff.
i saw some guy do this at work. i thought he was a drug addict.click to expand

Vaseline -- overnight?
You can. But obviously you could get greasy pillows, but ive trained myself to sleep on my back at all times. A lot of people think Vaseline will make you break out, but it wont. Atleast not me LOL!click to expand

I'm similar to you Nem, I don't use recipes, I go with my gut (smell and taste).

i'm for a strict division of food and beauty recipes. people might get it wrong and slap some bolognese in their hair or face and eat some masks...😄
i don't have recipes, i cook by feeling. 😄 just stuff i have taught myself or learned from my mother. only once my food was rejected. lentils, that - if i am honest - looked like something from the excorist movie.

Made these Chocolate Fudge Brownies in the weekend and used tinned Boysenberries instead of raspberries... It's more cake-y than the usual brownie mix, but still absolutely delicious! I had 4 people at the party ask for the recipe!
Sorry it's in metric 😉 CP might convert...

There are many tiramisu recipes out there but this one is by far the best I tried. I made it 3 weeks ago and everyone loved it! Its pretty easy to make it too. Although the recipe doesn't include 1 egg white, I added it while mixing the mascarpone to keep the cream rich. Enjoy!
TIRAMISU
Ingredients
6 egg yolks
1 cup sugar
1?_ cup mascarpone cheese
1?_ cup heavy whipping cream
2 -7oz packages Italian Lady fingers
1 cup cold espresso - This is a must, please don't destroy it with filter coffee 🙂
?_ cup coffee flavored Liqueur (optional)
1 tbsp cocoa for dusting
Instructions
Combine egg yolks and sugar in the top of a double boiler, over boiling water. Reduce heat to low, and cook for about 10 minutes, stirring constantly. This is your sabayon, remove from the heat and whip yolks until thick and lemon colored.
Add Mascarpone to whipped yolks, beat until combined.
In a separate bowl, whip cream to stiff peaks.
Gently fold the whipped cream in the mascarpone sabayon mixture and set aside.
Mix the cold espresso with the coffee liquor and dip the lady fingers into the mixture just long enough to get them wet, do not soak them!
Arrange the lady fingers in the bottom of a 9 inch square baking dish (or container similarly sized)
Spoon half the mascarpone cream filling over the lady fingers.
Repeat process with another layer of lady fingers and cream.
Refrigerate 4 hours or overnight.
Dust with cocoa before serving

51. I swear by this...I have thick, wavy hair. Winter, it dries and Summer sun dries. Although I use the biolage line to keep hair silky, strong & healthy, in between shampoos..if you can go two days without shampooing even better. (usually those with thick hair) Once or twice a month...
quarter size amount vaseline into palms of hands rub together (it is guey..) flip head upside down work from root to ends and really work it in..use thick comb and comb it through. Put on either a towel, shower cap or plastic and sleep overnight. wa laaa..better and so much cheaper than a professional condition treatment. Hair is like silk after shampooing with a good conditioner. 🙂
