Sad Day Today

I just found out!!!

Senator Paul Wellstone and his crew and family died today in a plane crash. He was a great Senator and one of the good liberal democrats. My heart is heavy. He did so much good for so many people and causes.

He will be truly missed!

We cant afford to lose anymore like him!!! He was a great man! Wonderful and compassionate.

Im sorry to hear of your loss. I didnt know him but it seems like, in the last couple of years, all the 'good' people have died and we are left with these nasty, selfish and spiritually devoid excuses for human beings. What is happening with the world lately?

PS. I heard about the Washington sniper; i cant believe he modified his car so he could shoot though the boot and make a quick getaway. What a sicko.

Omg... are you serious? You are correct in thinking that today is truly a sad day. He did do a lot of good for many people. Well, he's in a better place now, right? RIGHT? OH GOD TELL ME HE'S IN A BETTER PLACE...

Life IS good and if it is not, then make it happen. I have seen people so destitute and living in darkness, but they turned their lives into something wonderful. All it took was some hard work and a few opportunities that they made for themselves. We all have choices in life and you have to deal with the consequences of those choices. I deal with criminals and try and work with them and they complain about the unfairness of everything, well nobody forced them to do what they did. It was their choice and they made it.

Yes, true. That's why i didnt follow a career in law. That and i didnt want to have to deal with other crappy lawyers! I love the idea of justice but unfortunately, it just doesnt exists most of the time. SQ, have you ever read Sophocles' 'Antigone'? It deals with the theme of justice and who or what is the decider of it. Is it the law or is it the gods above?!

I am gonna ignore your rude comments. Justice system is screwed up but we have to want to change it and you cant do it by just complaining about it! We live in the world and in the world we are goverened by 'laws' which are the same as God's Laws. I can give you ten stories of biblical injustice that led to the ten commandments and modern law as we know it today! There is a very good book called the 'Genesis of Justice' you ought to check it out. It would take up way to much space on this board to get into as heavely as I could but you might want to read about it. The ten storie in the bible of injustice breaks down like this:

Not directly. But I can read between the lines and the way you present yourself says you are not happy with life or yourself. I dont have to ask you anything. I say what I want, just as you do. If you cant handle it, then you are in the wrong place!

Start reading something other than this board and you maybe you will learn all about the links between them. Very interesting stuff.
